after the 3rd quarter the eagles blitzed 3 straight time bringing 4 defenders between the guards. this is the perfect way to sack an immobile quarterback that has a problem with the blitz, most of our success in the running game early was between the tacklesgreat. game adjustment for them, we did not adjust and this is where we lost our momentum.

Bledsoe probably have learnt his lesson. Do not challenge Jim Johnson. He is one of the best Defensive coordinators in this league. Actually he is the best coordinator who never became a head coach.

Monte Kiffin has a better track record than Johnson.

Johnson is an incredibly smart coach. Part of the problem I think is the lack of adjustments made by our coaching staff and Bledsoe as well. The coaching staff seems to come out with good gameplans and can make adjustments at halftime. But when some new things arise in the 3rd quarter, they seemingly can't make another adjustment to that in the 4th quarter.

The gameplan was solid and they moved the ball well in the 1st half. But in the 3rd quarter things kept on regressing.

The good news is that there's rather simpled adjustments that can be made to stop this type of blitzing such as going to the shotgun or throwing screens. Even the empty back set could've worked if they had done some different things with it.

It's kind of weird to see since Parcells was adamant about using the screen pass in his first 3 seasons despite Dallas sucking at it. Now we are pretty good at the screen and he doesn't want to use it.

This is the way to blitz Drew,,it is not a secret. I remember when Parcells was a commentator for ESPN and once said that when he was coaching the Jets, he always would blitz Drew between the gaurds when they played the Pats. He could not handle this and would make bad throws.

Said to me last night on the phone..."I hate the Jim Johnson doesn't have a desire to be a Head Coach. It means he probably isn't going to go anywhere for a long time."

Very true. The guy called a great game.

Thanks to Jim Johnson the rest of our remaining opponents have the perfect gameplan all on film thanks to our immobile statue of a qb. Just blitz blitz blitz. The qb that has no idea how to audible to a slant or something to challenge the blitz will fold every time. The ground work has been laid for a mediocre season yet again if we don't make a change at qb. This sucks... :bang2:

He has the desire, but he' just too old, at least in the minds of most of the front offices in the league.

exactly... Johnson really is only doing the obvious. He is a good coach but lets not over react.

Jax also had the DL talent to pressure up the middle and it worked for them as well.
