Philly is the better team, admit it.

Their defense is much better than ours. Our defense was exposed all day. We have some secondary problems and we don't have enough pressure on the QB when not blitzing.

Their QB is a hell of a lot better than ours. He actually knows how to make a defense pay for blitzing landing his deep throws to receivers not named TO or Glenn with 1-on-1 coverage.

Their offensive line is better. It can actually handle the blitz.

Their coaches are better. They knew the weakness of our team:the offensive line and Bledsoe. They exploited it.

I think the running backs are a draw. Westbrooks is a different type of player than Julius Jones but we don't have a franchise runner on this team. Both teams have a little bit of a committee approach. Push.

Oh yeah.... we have better receivers. Probably close to $20 million in salary going to TO, Glenn and Witten this year. Who cares when your QB can't get the ball to 'em?

Props to the people who predicted an Eagles resurgence this year. They were right. Eagles are going to win the NFC East. We'll get a wildcard at best.

For those who have always dogged Donovan McNabb, and the Bledsoe homers, ask yourself what the score would have been today if McNabb was our QB? I think we would have won by 2 TDs at least. Gotta give it up to him. He's a much better QB than Bledsoe. I wish we had a franchise QB again.

Agreed. Great points all around, TB.

Philly clearly has a better QB...they have a better HC...they have a better coaching staff

other than that, I think we're better than them most other areas...

The best team is the one that executes. Like BP said, execution is underrated. With that being said, I don't see how we can say that we are better than the Eagles. I just don't see it.

This Dallas team has a problem with execution on both offense and defense. Too many missed assignments, bad routes, bad throws, and people not being on the same page. They play like it is still preseason. You can do that at Tennessee, but they had better shape up fast for the league's better teams.
Dallas had every chance to win this game, but once again they made stupid mistakes and got in their own way.

I'm not taking anything away from Philly. I just feel like this loss was inexcusable. Too many wasted chances. And WHERE IS THE PASS RUSH? Somebody tell me.

You left out one item. The also have the better OL, plain and simple.

In my opinion they are better ... much better at one position, QB. That position can make everything else look skewed. I think that's exactly what happened today.

Botton line we switch QBs ... we win.

JMO...Philly has a better QB and D Coordinator. Bledsoe doesn't toss that last second INT. and it could very well be a different outcome.

I'll admit they were the better team in the second half.

I'll also admit that McNuts is a better QB than Bledsoe.

But overall, I don't think they are a better team. Our Defense was on the fields way too much.

Actually the Cowboys' Defense was only on the field for 23 minutes. The Cowboys dominated the time of possession.

I don't necessarily agree. This game wasn't played on a neutral field, you know. They had 70,000 lunatics screaming for them and they still barely beat us.

It's an emotional, disappointing loss, but when you boil it all down, they just held serve today.

We couldn't block their D line and that's what it boils down to. They got 7 sacks, that's 7! Unbelievable.

Congratulations Eagles. See you next time.

take away the mcbriar botched snap, the bledsoe turnovers, and this is a totally different game. we handed them 17 points. :bang2:

i told my buddy as were sitting here watching. its 21-17 Dallas, and all of a sudden the offense was stagnant, Parcells playing not to lose. I knew we were in for a long day!

I agree with that assessment, I've said as much in my posts before the game. With that being said, they have a distict advantage over us at the most important position on the field ... and that fact, not the home field advantage, made all the differece today.

100% they were better today, Mcnabb was and is better then bledsoe, I'm still out on the coaching staff its a long season, But today was Phillys day.
Good for you, You Pond scum of Fifilthadelphia. Now shut up and get the cheese steaks out of your faces were both still 1 and 1 in the division

QB and D coordinator were the difference. The Eagles front was in Bledsoe's face (and hanging on his arm) the entire game. I think the Dec. 25 2nd game at Texas Stadium will be a different game, hopefully, a different result. The last Bledsoe pass thrown for the INT, and returned for a TD was a horrible, horrible decision.

Slow down there. We both have 1 loss in the division with one game to play. It ain't over.

Philly is NOT the better team and no, I won't admit it. They were a better team today and hats off to them on that but I will not admit that they are plain and simple better than the Cowboys.

Save it.

Today? Sure.

Poor execution on offense, a brain dead, immobile Qb and breakdowns in the secondary killed us today. All that and we were within 5 yards of taking it to OT. It's all good, though. As the season rolls on, we should be able to minimize the poor execution and Watkins will improve on his mistakes today. Bledsoe, well, we'll have to live with him, for now, unless...ahh...nevermind.

Time will tell, of course, but I still think we're as good, if not better, than them. I just have to tip my hat to the Eagles. Today, they came up with the big plays when they needed to...we didn't.

It depends how you want to look at things. Yes, the Eagles were the better team today, but the Cowboys are the team with more talent. Today was a litany of mistakes. A snap over the punter's head, etc, etc.

Before everyone lets panic set in :) we should all remember that this was a tough NFC East road game, and we'll get these guys one more time in December.
