Philly to host draft - 2017

It's going to be a rotating event because the NFL knows it's another way to make money!! I expect the STAR will get the honor in a year or two...

History is on your side? When has Philly hosted the draft before?

Because I doubt there really is going to be a problem at the draft. It's not like a Sunday game where Eagles hooligans will be all liquored up in the parking lot having drank for 5 hours straight. Further, you probably won't get a ton of Eagles fans anyway as they don't even have a first round pick.

Much ado about nothing. Philly is actually an up and coming city with a great restaurant scene, etc.

I said nothing of the city itself. At all.

My comment of 'history being on my side' was in direct reference to the eagles fans behavior and I stand by it 100%.

It's not about sticking up for their fans, it's about just pointing out how it's a bit ignorant to just assume this will be some disaster in Philly.

You do realize that these events are largely attended by fans of a lot of teams and it won't be anything like going to an Eagles home game, right? Given Philly's proximity, you'll probably get Jets and Giants fans in there, Ravens fans, Skins fans, etc.

A buddy went to the one in Chicago and said it was actually cool, a lot of fans of many teams, etc.

This is news? This had been known for awhile. What's great is the Eagles don't have a 1st round pick. Maybe they will make some crazy trade next off-season just to get into the 1st round.

Probably no different than the drafts we've seen in NY for years. Giants fans there will boo Eagles picks. Everyone will boo Cowboys picks. Everyone will laugh at Jets' picks. Eagles fans will boo Giants picks.

Honestly, what do you think is going to happen? A giant riot break out? LOL.
