Looking back, the Cowboys didn't have that bad a draft compared to other teams. Tyron Smith, Bruce Carter, DeMarco Murray, Dwayne Harris.

Reading the piece...

A part of the issue for the Eagles that pre-draft was apparently "Hey we need offensively linemen so let's draft some" instead of going BPA.

It's a lesson the Cowboys have had to learn also.

It was a solid draft for Dallas. It's coming upon their 7th seasons and all four are still in the NFL.

I remember that a lot of the media loved that OL from Baylor (Danny Watkins).

It was a solid draft for Dallas. It's coming upon their 7th seasons and all four are still in the NFL.

And believe it or not, 2011 4th rounder David Arkin is still in the NFL all these years later. With the Rams currently.

That takes it from solid to superlative, huh?

Watkins was regarded by many as the most NFL ready lineman in the draft. That's not on Roseman - scouts loved Watkins

That's really hard to believe. I had to look it up myself. Dude was drafted in 2011 and still holding a practice squad spot for the Rams as of last year. I don't know if I should feel bad for him or give him props for continuing to dig it out.

Drew Henson was in the Lions PS after we cut him. Not sure off the top of my head what year we cut him (2005?) But he was on the Lions PS in 2006
