Conspiracy theorist's could make something of this...

Tony Romo might have taken his job in the booth next to Jim Nantz, but Phil Simms will remain at CBS. The network announced Wednesday that Simms will move to The NFL Today show as a studio analyst.

Simms spoke with Sports Illustrated's Richard Deitsch about the move Wednesday.

"Listen, I didn't make any comments for a lot of reasons and you want to sit there and think about it," Simms said. "Initially was my pride hurt? Absolutely. Of course it was ... So it took a little bit. Not long. I started thinking about it in a positive way and then I became excited about it."

So, CBS is covering themselves. Should Romo decide to play (or he sucks in the booth) they can pull Simms back in and still have the same team they had before.

Romo was supposed to have retired Simms, but apparently he couldn't finish the job. Obvious joke goes here.

I'm in the minority but I like Simms. He's always liked Romo the QB as well. I'm a traditional kind of guy and don't like change. I will take Simms over Buck any day of the week!

Ha, yeah they're is that possibility, I love Tony, but some act like he's john madden and I've never heard him speak outside of Qb press conference speak. I think he'll be fine though

And after they go through the draft, teams may re-assess what their QB situation is. Odds are very low, but not 0%
