PhiladelphiaEagles.com reports free agent DE <A href="http://www.kffl.com/player/1216/nfl">Darren Howard (Saints) will be visiting with the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday, March 12.

This would be a good signing for them...here's hoping he doesn't sign there.

I think he did real damage to his value after he was benched last year in NO.

He would be a great signing for the Eagles. He is still a very Good DE and one that can play the run. That is something the eagles haven't had.

Then teams aren't doing their homework. He was benched by a bad, rebuilding team who deferred to their young players. He still has a lot of juice, I hope Philly doesn't sign him.

Howard was vastly overpaid, Howard is vastly overrated - Howard neverhas been to a single Pro Bowl. They drafted DE past few years for a reason - to replace Howard. Not only was Howard benched, they told Howard to go home. And paid Howard to do so. Howard being Howard?

Howard is free to sign now - Howard is the wrong side of 30 - You'd think after TO the Eagles would shy away from a problem player like Howard. I'll laugh my *** off if Howard ends up in Philly!

Rob Maaddi, of the Associated Press, reports free agent DE Darren Howard (Saints) visited the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday, March 12, and was to remain in Philadelphia overnight. Howard said he didn't have any other visits planned and hoped to work out a deal with the Eagles. "I like the situation. I like the team," Howard said. "It's a matter of getting a deal done."

This will somewhat make up for losing Bentley, but Howard is a one or two yr player. I bet he don't finish his contract in Philly before getting cut.

Right now, the Giants are ahead in FA, Skins second, Eagles and Cowboys tied.

Wonder if BP and JJ have something planned to make more of a splash?
