Photoshop help

[Mr. Fantasy]

can anyone give me some advise? I'm using photoshop and I'm trying to blend images together, similar to Jukes sig or some of the wallpapers where you have several images sorta fade in the background and make 1 image stand out from it? I just need to know how to fade or lighten the background images.

I am assuming you are working in "layers"....

Go to "windows" in the pull down menus in photoshop and make sure "layers" is checked...

If you look at the layers window, you'll see sliders "opacity" and "fill"...slide them to the position that gives you the ghosting you are looking for.

you also have your blending options..They are located in the layers pallet right below the layers tab.Just hit the the drop down box..

Do you have the layers window open? like in the upper right here:

I don't see "Background". I do notice next to the picture is a lock and when I place the cursor over the lock it says that it is partically locked?

Ok this is what we need to do...While your in Photoshop (HAVE YOUR WORK ON THE SCREEN) Hit your print screen button on your keyboard..Then At the top of the screen in photoshop go to File-new and when the popup comes up hit ok(dont change anything)..Now go to edit-paste.If you've done it right you should Have just done a screen-capture........Save it as jpg and post it here so We can see what you have...That way we can figure out Whats Wrong...

I was thinking the same exact thing...

This has become like a Photoshop support "On Star"..only what we do is MUCH more important.

Are the opacity and fill options "greyed" out? If they ARE greyed out, simply click on the lock to the left of "fill" and that will unlock the layer.

And you do have multiple layers there, yes?

Actually I have... he posted a thread one night saying he would be at WWE Smackdown and would be wearing an Emmitt jersey...

I flipped over there for the heck of it... I saw him standing up at the end of the aisle... ok... I saw him taking up the WHOLE aisle... my dad always told me... "Son, the bigger they are... the harder they hit..."

I would be more than happy to join you in the Winicki beatdown... it could be the death match between marketing majors...
