Smith is a linear route runner with drop issues, but his “see-ya” speed will help separate him, both on the field and in an NFL training camp.

Some of that is the cushion he’s being given because of his speed. Some of that is the level of competition. You can tell the defenders were terrified of him getting over the top and they weren’t aggressive at the top of the route. On that jet sweep he had multiple players on defense signaling to make sure they knew he was coming.
