If we had scored late and lost 35-24, the spin masters could have said we played great late and that we just have to get off to better starts. The fact the we lost 42-17, will force the staff and players and hopefully ownership take responsibility and look in the mirror. It wasn't anyone's fault, it was everyone's fault. How we react to this butt whooping as a team, will dictate the rest of our season.

Especially when you factor in 7 of our points came from starting inside Denver's 5 yard line.

I didn't expect our defense to be that bad against a mediocre Denver offense, or our offense, particularly the offensive line being that bad consistently in this game.

On the other hand our play calling did nothing to nullify the pass rush. No screen passes. No chipping. Piss poor use of Beasley and Switzer.

Forcing it to Dez put us behind repeatedly in down and distance and was a drive killer over and over. Dez had over 16 targets in this game. It's no wonder we were so inept on offense. Throwing low percentage passes to Dez vs high percentage passes to Beaz should be a no brainer.

Dak plays better when he doesn't force to Dez.

What an odd thread. Speaks to how shallow the average fan's thinking is I suppose.

Nobody who watched this game should have any difference of opinion based on the final score. Whether we made it a 7 point game or lost by 40, we got killed when it mattered.

Dak plays better when he doesn't force to Dez.
That’s such a ****** and lazy narrative. He was “forcing” it to dez because everything else was taken away.

Anyway horrific loss, but to a great team, and not something this bunch has really experienced, and hopefully will not appreciate.

Dak just isn't that accurate yet. Aikman said that we gave up the big play without Romo, and he's right. I don't see things getting much easier for Dak in the coming weeks.

Can't be a good sign that our defense couldn't stop the run at all...

It's a good thing because having to read things I disagree with on the internet is too much for me to handle.

Does that sound about right?

Who are the spinmasters?
Me. I'm spinning that Dez is late career Keyshawn and the OL needs to refocus and get on track.
This D needs to get back to freaking basics and learn how to tackle... can't believe I'm looking at you, Sean Lee, as much as anyone else.
Jaylon is NOT what we need in the middle right now.

I get the decimation in the secondary. I don't even fault Lewis for being lost like Little Red Riding Hood right now, but this D was on their heels from play 1.

Edit: Oh, and Sean? It would be great if you could stop knocking out your own damn players out of games. I thought you were cerebral. You keep head hunting your own damn players.
