I believe if Jerry is going to make a move in this draft that pick will be the hot one and I believe it will come early in Day 2. Now that the draft is only 2 rounds on day 1 as we saw las year, those top 10 picks in the 3rd round become a hot bed. It's where most of the teams in the top 10 of the 3rd round last year picked up picks in this years draft.

I really believe Jerry is going to use that pick as leverage to either move up in Day 1 or drop back in the 3rd and get a 2nd round pick for next year.

I could definately see that. Jerry likes to wheel and deal. It worked out very well last year and the year before.

However, I could see Dallas taking that pick at 69 or moving that pick up into later round 2.

If you have a Marcus Freeman or Dorrell Scott still on the board after you pick another player, I think Jerry might try to make sure he gets one of these guys. He may take one at 51 and try to move up for the one he doesn't pick by using 69. Dallas needs players, imo. Those first two picks should definately be good players, players who are needed.

On the other hand, Jones could still get a good player by staying put at 69. Chip Vaughn could provide safety depth and speical teams help and be a good young prospect at SS.

However, at this point, I think it looks like this, imo:

2nd Round Targets: (Reality Targets) Defense

Lawrence Sidbury JR.
Marcus Freeman
Dorrell Scott

In my opinion, these three guys will be on the top of the list at their respective positions. (OLB, ILB, and NT) At safety, I think Dallas will pass in the second round. Plus, Delmas and Moore will probably be gone, anyway. Chip Vaughn and Rashad Johnson are better values in round 3, imo.

If a defensive player is taken at 51, it will be one of these three players, imo.

Right now, if I had to pick one of those guys, I would say Marcus Freeman is the pick. Sidbury will probably be gone, but we'll see. I wouldn't count him out, yet.

On offense, you are looking at a center or WR if Nicks falls, imo. Duke Robinson will be gone, imo. Too many teams need inside help. Herman Johnson is a wildcard. Hudson Houck was at LSU's pro day. Also, Phil Loadholt is a wildcard, but I think he's gone, too. Tackles rise and the Vikings and Bears really are looking at him, among other teams.

That is why I think defense will be the pick at 51 unless Hudson Houck knows someting we don't.

Some blue chipper projected as a first rounder (early second) will fall, it never fails.

I hope Dallas pounces on that player, regardless of need, let Jerry do what he promised, take the BPA.

i wouldnt mind the cowboys getting herman johnson if they cant get duke robinson, i think herman will be a stud offensive linemen in 2 years in the NFL In fact Herman Johnson might play as well as Larry Allen did in his prime, and i said it here first.

I would seriously doubt we move that selection.

Dallas has done very well coming back early on day 2 recently with the list of the best players left and getting a steal.

I think Dallas really values picks in rounds 3-4. I expect them to use 5th and 6th round ammo to move up or move out to next year.
