You can only pick on FA that the Cowboys could sign to fill a need. I say Atogwe. What you say??

but really id rather not sign anyone and get the comp pick next year

PLEASE NO!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't even think about bringing T.O. back into the equation:bang2::bang2::bang2:

Gotta go with Atogwe.

Hes a good safety and he gives us corner depth with the ability to move ball back.

Which also lets us have more options with which receivers to keep on the roster. We could keep more than 5. So having guys who can go both ways in a pinch is a plus. So we're waiting to see what we have at back up... then we sign Atogwe (if we sign Atogwe).

It's smart to wait for safety because I think experience is important there.

I think the comp picks are based on the performance of the lost free agent. If they retire, they obviously didn't perform so no comp pick.

your right i just read adams blog

I know this isn't the popular veiw point, but, I kinda like the players we have right now and want to see them have every chance to succeed or fail before signing any retreads:starspin

It doesn't have to be popular. I don't agree with you, but I respect why you see it that way. And I understand it.

Dallas is not looking up long term deals to two safety with AOA/Hamlin in the wings

That's nice to read. So much defensive, argumentative crap on the board. It's refreshing to see a little respect interjected every once in a while. Kudos to you. I'm not saying we should all sit around singing "Kumbaya", but name-calling and absurd defensiveness over anything that differs from one's opinion gets old. Too many threads turn into 2 or 3 guys exchanging sarcastic comments and insults that add nothing to the discussion.

Oh, and I would go with Atogwe since it deepens us at safety and corner (because of Ball's versatiliy). We'd be pretty deep at quite a few positions overall if we made that move.
