I have noticed in a few games that I've watched this season that teams have started executing the previously illegal wr pick play closer to the line of scrimmage, within 5 yds, which is within the rules and is not drawing penalty flags. It's very effective. How long into the 2019 season do you think will we go before we see Garrett/Linehan implement a variation of it?

Creative play calling? Come on now, thats never happening under the regime

You'll get about 2 or 3 a year that we use to T. Will.. It's the same play we have ran to T. Will for years.

That's about it.

We could super glitchy with our run game and Beasley and Switzer if we chose to be.

I'm still stacking
Will let you know when I'm done with that

Teams have started copying the Pats, they know the refs are not going to call it every time.

As far as Dallas doing pick plays.....Baaaawaaaa

That is not how we roll around here, we believe in simple plays and players winning their individual battles. That works if you are playing lesser talented teams, but when you play a playoff caliber team it's an epic fail.

Come on...this is Garrett's offense. It's as vanilla as it can get. It's all about "beating your man 1 on 1" and "executing".
If it were that he would've stuck to what we do best and ran the ball. I don't get it sometimes. It's like they think to themselves "They're expecting us to run the ball so let's pass the ball!". I get that Denver has a good defense and all but I'd like to see them demonstrate they can stop the run before we abandon it. Teams know they can show one thing and force us to change up. How about we do what we do best!

Kind of risky if you ask me. Within the first 5 yards you can mug receivers. If you're waiting for jammed up receivers to come off their picks, the pass rush can potentially be in your face.
Just a matter of time before defenses catch on.

The Commanders always use it. It inflates kirks numbers. Lord forbid they help Dak out with some number inflating throws

Refs are calling it.

Mike McCarthy was almost booted from the Falcons game after disputing a (legal) pick the refs called.

They called it on Brady too, he just managed to talk them out of it.

The pick is going to be riskier this year.

2036.

How about a screen play?

Or a misdirection play?

There is no creativity from this offense. It makes you wonder how much actual work the staff is putting in during the week.

But this happens all the time. We make a pick and Garrett and or some other bum in the front office talks about how that player will
Help to create mismatches and then is never used.

Fasano,Bennett, Escobar- all used incredibly terribly in their time here.

Ryan Switzerland, drafted because it would make defenses go crazy covering us not even used.

There are more. Garrett is given more leash than every other coach other than Belicheck and it is maddening.

I think the rule is 1 yard within the LOS is legal! Somebody can correct me if I am wrong.

You quoted 2 occasions that they called a penalty, how many picks did they run that a penalty wasn't called? I've been saying all along that Dez needs routes that get him open instead of the "just beat your man" mentality. Atlanta and Pittsburgh do it all the time with their Number 1s.
