Which quote is real? Did Garret say this about Houston and O'Brien? Or did O'Brien say it about Dallas and Garrett?

First quote. Minor edits made for obvious reasons:

"We understand that. It’s a big challenge, like I said. Houston has an excellent football team lead by a really, really good head coach, Coach O'Brien, who I have a lot of respect for…so it’s a big challenge but we realize how important it is to the fans and to us."

"We understand that. It’s a big challenge, like I said. Dallas has an excellent football team lead by a really, really good head coach, Coach Garrett, who I have a lot of respect for…so it’s a big challenge but we realize how important it is to the fans and to us."

Second quote (no edits made so only one quote):

"He’s a dynamic player. He’s a big back. He’s a downhill runner. He’s able to get it down hill and also bounce. He’s just a really, really good football player and just on the film that I’ve watched so far, and we have more to grind through. He’s meant a lot to their football team and it’s a big challenge."

First quote is made by O'Brien. Two reasons: Garrett would never say "really really" and because beating Dallas is more important to Houston fans than the reverse.

Second quote is also made by O'Brien regarding Murray. Same reason as above and the fact that this is something you say about the leading rusher in the NFL, not the 11th.

'Really, really good football player' is Jason Garrett. And it has been for a long time. What do I win?

By the way, I love this idea for a thread. We should keep this going with both players and coaches each week. And by 'we' I mean 'you guys.' Because I'm so lazy.

Both quotes were by Houston, but I could be wrong.

Garrets quote regarding Houston would've looked like this.

"We understand that. It’s a big process, like I said. Houston has a terrible football team lead by a really, really good Defensive End, J.J. Watt, who I have a lot of respect for…so it’s a big challenge but we realize how important it is to the fans and to us."

No other coaches are allowed to say 'he's just a really, really good football player, and has been for a long time' without violating a copyright. I'm pretty sure.

Lol, yah that is definitely one of his phrases. I just think the last part about the fans would be something the Texans would say.

Both quotes are from O'Brien. When I read them this morning I could hear Garrett in my head.

In addition to process, Garrett, also likes to use challenge when referring to the process and a number of other topics. That is what really keyed me on both coaches having similar "coach speak" :)

"We understand that. It’s a big challenge, like I said. Team X has an excellent football team lead by a really, really good head coach, Coach Y, who I have a lot of respect for…so it’s a big challenge but we realize how important it is to the fans and to us."
I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure that quote is by every football coach every week at every level about every opponent ever.

Yeah. I just looked up his comments and read through them. He's very complimentary of Garrett, and he talks to the press like a Garrett clone. ""I think that in the first year of this system there are certain parts of this offensive system that are a process....' that ought to give shivers to a lot of people. ;)

I'll bet a dime to a donut that O'Brien is the author of both quotes and that the reason the OP posted it is because he noticed how close it is to Garrett's patented way of answering questions about the other team and players.

If Garrett wants to say "really really good football player" he says "outstanding football player".

Obrien on both.
