Pick Values and Trade Options

    I was just looking at the draft value chart and what Dallas could do with them in trade up scenarios. Trading a 2nd and 3rd wouldn't move them up that much, if they go by the chart. Maybe 10 spots or so. However New England might be willing to trade the last pick of the first round though for unequal compensation. I don't think that the value would be there in a trade up unless they really LOVE a player.

    The most plausible trade up appears in the 4th round. Both of our 4ths could be used to trade almost all the way to the top of the 4th round. There could be a vastly different rated player between the top and the bottom of the 4th.

    At some point in the draft a player drafted isn't much better than an UDFA. That usually happens at or near the end of the 4th round.
