Pickens = Alvin Harper this year

Good for some occasional long bombs, just like Alvin Harper, but CeeDee is the workhorse, just like Michael Irvin. It will still hurt when they lose him and replace him with Fluornoy, but maybe he's willing to come down in price.

I think Risen described Dez and maybe Pickens this way too and I agree with him and that is that even when Pickens is covered he should be thrown to because of his extremely elite ability at making contested catches.

How many times now has it been that the corner is draped all over Pickens only for him to come up with the catch regardless.

He is the best in the biz at that!

a couple f those wide open catches were becaue of the defensive breakdowns. Running with Pickens instead of sticking with Ceedee. Teams are scare or and accountable for Pickens over the top. Dak is looking at Pickens down the field a lot too but smartly not pulling the trigger. But if he see one on one he lets it go. Today the cowboys plays ceedeee and Pickens on the same side a lot more than often and it threw Houston for a loop. Seem like they just wanted to keep everything infront of them

I think it is too early in the season to Harper-codify Pickens. He is not as agile a receiver on the field as CeeDee but he does have the propensity to put a lot of points on the scoreboard in games.

Looks to me like CeeDee is the reason Pickens had his standout year last season, including the injury that gave him more starting time. Having said that, it's still nice to have a vertical jump threat like him on the field. I just wish he didn't want to charge us $40 million a year for it.

I think they complement one another and force a defense to pick their poison

Pickens is part of the reason CD had 17 catches. No Pickens and a defense like the Texans can shut CD down.

I would pay Alvin Harper $40m to play with Michael Irvin in 2027.

An investment in Pickens is an investment in both CD and the run game. He is a force multiplier because he dictates coverage.

That is a pretty good analogy Or comp I mean I think that's who George Pickens is though CD does not need a protection as much as Pickens need CD lamb it's already been proven over and over so I don't want to bring up this can of worms but they need to tag him again and see what other teams think of him and get what you can for Pickens or he and his agent Mr David A and A does not stand for his last name, It sounds like Bass LOL..

They need to come to a smart decision and find a nice deal that he can stay here where he's gonna be appreciated and have his best opportunities..

I do not see George Pickens as a frontline top tier top five receiver he's really good he's a starting receiver yes he can go to another team and be a starter we saw it in Pittsburgh , lamb is that guy so as much as he's helping Lamb we've already seen in 2023 that Lamb does not need the help he can do this because he already has.

But it would be nice to find a way to keep Pickens but not if he's overvaluing himself 'cause right now I think he is overvaluing himself and the league spoke this offseason and they may speak again this offseason and he might not have the offers he's looking for and maybe he stays because he humbles himself along with his agent and takes less then what he might be looking at right now.
