I mentioned this briefly in another thread, but is anyone else alarmed by the number of comebacks this season?
Dallas
Philly
Buffalo
Arizona
All of these teams blew double digit leads today
Last week it was the
Pats
Vikings
Texans
Week 2 it was
Oakland
Vikings
San Fran
Philly
It is increasingly becoming a league where 20 point leads are not insurmountable. It may seem that this is only happening to Dallas but as the weeks go on, I bet you see the majority of the league added to this list. The neutering of pass defenses that started in 1978 has come to fruition.
It may make for exciting finishes, but this game isn't what it once was in terms of defensive quality.
And that I think is a bit tragic.
