Pitts at 10 and Farley at 44

I don't really care what the Giants or Eagles do at this point. I am more concerned with the flaws of this team. The value in taking a TE at 10 for this team just isn't there IMO when you consider the plethora of pass catchers we already have on the team both at the WR spot and at TB. Throw in two competent receiving TEs and while Pitts is a fantastic prospect, the value just isn't there IMO.

So trade the pick if you can, slide down into the late teens, pick up another 2nd and maybe a 3rd or 4th. Does more for the team IMO than taking a TE at 10.

Passing the best player goes against every fiber of my being but the reality is this team has overloaded on offense and every year we see the defense just not have enough talent. I just can't use the 10th pick on a TE.

Bro, the Cowboys signed Carlos Watkins. Defense has been addressed.

Yeah, you definitely take Pitts at 10 if he's there. Same with Farley at 44.

A Jerruh draft-sequence to a T

Who says no?

:popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:
Pitts is good but we already have more than capable TE’s. Jason is pretty damn good maybe you forgot. I’d rather draft a defensive guy or even an offensive lineman than another TE.

He probably solidified himself as a top 7 pick with his pro day. We needed a somewhat disappointing performance today to have a shot at 10. If there ever was a chance....

A lot of scouts consider Pitts to be the second best player in this draft and quite possibly a prospect to he a Pro Football HOFer.

You absolutely take him if he's on the board. Drafting Surtain isn't flipping the script here defensively. Adding Pitts helps you potentially put up 40 PPG which is our best path to winning as it stands today.

I want the TE

I just hope Jerry doesn’t force 82 on him. 84 would be ok though.

You and me both, man. He will almost certainly be gone at 10, but the QB craze the NFL has along with rare talents in Sewell and Chase, plus a dash of big-time WR need leaves a path to him making it to 10. Plus, with Detroit, Miami and Denver recently spending high picks on TE’s, they’re more likely to pass.

Detroit used a top 10 pick on Hockenson.
Denver used a first on Fant.
Miami used a 2nd on Gesecki and they really like him.

We can hope...

Detroit the the Wild Card here though. Those guys do wild stuff in the draft. Probably why they're stuck in obscurity.

They drafted Ebron with first rounder Pettigrew still on the roster and they did this with Aaron Donald still on the board and knowing they'd lose Suh and Fairley. Nothing is a sure thing with those guys. I'm watching them and Miami to take Pitts.

Yeah I know... they are likely to do something dumb.

However TJ Hockenson no doubt does lower the chance they do it. And to be fair, most teams had no idea that Donald would be Donald. Many thought he was too small and arms too short.

Plus, they lost Marvin Jones and Kenny Golliday in free agency. I think it’ll be one of Waddle or Smith.

I could be wrong though.

Bengals and Jets are definitely not taking him.

Our biggest obstacle will be Atlanta at 4 and they need a QB

Not necessarily Willie. They could still swing a deal with the Jets and bring in Darnold. Mattie Ice is still playing pretty well so I could see them not drafting a QB in the first here. Then again, I could see them taking one as well.

Wild Card......... :lmao2:

It's Detroit, they are gonna take a WR.

I agree about the Jets and Cincy. Jets are 100% locked into Wilson (and they should be). Cincy needs an OT and a supposed generational talent should be there for them. Faced with rare talent at OT and TE, the smart thing for them to do is go with the tackle because it is one of the money positions in the NFL. That’s why you always see them going top 10 and rarely see TE’s going there.

I could see Atlanta taking Pitts but I can see them going QB with a guy like Fields who is really talented but needs a little time... with Matt Ryan, he’d have that in Atl. I also heard Scott Pioli on the NFL Network saying what a terrific fit that Fields is for the new offense that the Falcons are going to be running. I think if he’s there, that’s what they’ll do. We just need for Fields to have a great pro day.

Miami has a very talented Gesecki at TE and needs WR badly. I think they end up with Chase.

Detroit has a huge need at WR after losing Marvin Jones and Golliday this offseason... plus they just drafted TE TJ Hockenson in the top 10 two years ago.

Carolina is going to do whatever it can to get a QB. I think they end up with one of Jones, Fields, or Lance.

I’ve heard that Denver decided to stay with their QB Lock and want to go defense in this draft. They signed CB’s Fuller and Darby so I bet they end up with Parsons. They’ve always loved their LB’s there. Plus, they also just recently spent a first round pick on Noah Fant at TE.

With Jacksonville going Lawrence at 1... there is a chance that Pitts falls to 10. He may not... but despite being so talented, he just might fall.

Good analysis.

I can see a team or two jumping into the top 10 to get either a QB, OT or Pitts.

Kiper on Pitts --- "He is one of the most talented tight ends I’ve ever graded, and there are people in the NFL who think he could be the second-best prospect in this class."

Pitts will not make it to pick 10. His stock is soaring through the roof!
Bengals / Jets / Dolphins -- someone is taking him.
Don't we have several guys every year that definitely won't make it out of the top 10. Until the draft happens and we see the moves other take there always a possibility that Pitts or Sewell or both are available at #10. Maybe won't happen but you never know what will happen except Lawrence at #1.

Repeat after me ......the Atlanta Falcons with draft Pitts 4th overall (lol). Talked to a friend mind in Atlanta. Says all the fans he's talked to want Pitts. He thinks the dead money from Ryan's contract over the next couple of years will stop them from taking a QB, especially 4th overall. He also mentions Pitts replacing Julio Jones who likely playing his last year as a Falcon.

All depends on what they think of Lance and Fields. If you think either of those guys are franchise QB’s you should make them the pick.

Why would it suck? They have 10 draft picks.
Because we once again fell for the flashy toys and lose because we can't stop the run and our D blows.

Every year it's the same, we just gotta have a player. And every year, we fail to fix the D. Do Pitts enthusiasts ever even notice the big pic? More O is not going to fix this mess. That's why it would suck.

You very well could be right. And I know this isn’t your fault, but I still no longer like you anymore.

*unfriended*
