Pitt's D has yet to give up 300 yards of offense. But Romo is a 300+ yard making machine. That is, if T.O. minds his P's and Q's - err, his X's and O's - and beats his jams on the line of scrimmage. Oh, and HOLD ONTO passes thrown his way. If that execution happens, then Dallas wins! It's that simple.

Like I said on another thread-this D is awfully difficult to run on. Even the Colts, who are usually patient with the run game, abandoned it in their meeting with them a couple of weeks ago.

At the very least, I hope we can protect the ball OK, b/c this will be a typical Steelers slugfest game. I hope we stay tough.

I don't think this game will be close. Either the Steeler's D breaks us, or our O shreads them. Both teams play too aggressive for this not to happen.

If we can go in and not turn the ball over, cut out the stupid penalties and the D play as good as they've been playing of late, we will win. Pitt hasn't played an offense like ours. That said, I don't see us running up the scoreboard but we can definitely win.

Honestly.. If the Steelers blitz and they don't get to Romo they will get toasted. If the O-line don't show up they will toast us.. Its that simple. We have too many weapons for them to send blitzes on every play. I Guarantee you they will not blitz that much this game.

The key will be to eliminate the negative yardage plays, dropped passes and turnovers. We do that and score TDs in the few opportunities we have in the red zone, we'll be in decent shape to win. Pitt is obviously a nastier D than Washington, but the flow of the game will be similar in that we need to capitalize on those few chances in their territory.

The Colts had over 300 yards against them. The Patriots had 291 last night.

The Pats would have had MUCH more if it weren't for those drops, especially by Randy Moss. He had 2 TD drops in the first half that would have put them way ahead.

The Pats also had 5 turnovers. They easily woulda broken 300 yards.

The biggest problem I see is Romo stepping up in the pocket to make plays might get him killed.

Yes, the stat is referring to NET yards, not GROSS yards you see in the stat sheet.

Giving up less than 300 yards on offense is not the same as giving up 300 total yards.

I dont care who you play. Anytime you can hold 12 opponents in a row to under 300 yards, your Defense is outstanding. And last I checked, Houston and NYG are in the top 10 in Offensive yards, Washington and SD are in the top 10, and holding Cassell in check after throwing back to back 400 yd games gives bragging rights.

Pitt gets a lot of turnovers, which is what limits their opponetns from racking up yards. The challenge for Dallas' offense is to use the running game to set up the pass, and play disciplined throughout. if they do that, they will slowly rack up the yards and the points, and keep a marginal Pittsburgh offense from ever taking the filed to score anything meaningful.

Your thread title says they haven't given up 300 yards of offense.

That was incorrect.
