The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review suggests that Ben Roethlisberger could face an NFL suspension, "and possibly a lengthy one," if he's charged with sexually assaulting his 20-year-old accuser in Georgia.

Roethlisberger would theoretically be a first-time offender of the conduct policy, but the league is likely frowning on the bad press he's generated with two similar accusations in the last eight months. Middletown (GA) police are taking their time, and it's unclear if any charges are imminent.

they can't suspend him unless the court says he's guilty. if they do suspend him without him being proven guilty than old girlfriends of football players looking for revenge will be coming out claiming the same stuff.

The way he has tarnished the image of the league he should be. They were talking about this on ESPN over the weekend. The conclusion was that he deserves it but won't be because he is a "big name" player.

yep-until it happens I will not believe it at all. After all the Rooneys get favorite treatment everywhere else why not here?
