If you saw the Pats TD, you saw the difference between good coaching and Dallas’ offensive coaches. That play was wide open due to design. Yes, a defender must have blown it but the design of the play confused the defense so much that three defenders went with one guy and no one went with the other. Dallas doesn’t seem to have any plays designed to confuse the defense or designed to go all the way. The only time they get a long TD is when a defender misses a tackle. Our offense is so simplistic that it’s fairly easy to defend then you add in conservative playcalling to protect a QB they lack faith in and it becomes a complete joke.
