Here is to praying they don't get to the superbowl in our house. I am afraid to think of how awful it would be to see the steelers Logo all over Cowboys stadium. If they manage to avoid the Pats or Beat them . I have no question in my mind if they are in the superbowl they would beat any of the NFC teams. I want to vomit thinking of them holding the superbowl trophy in the middle of cowboys stadium.... rayplease god don't let the steelers get to the superbowl)

New England will probably win it.

There is some good teams in the playoffs but I think New England, Atlanta, or Green Bay wins it.

But I agree. New England is a machine right now, and not the same way in '07 how they basically just outscored people and forced them to throw all game. They're actually playing defense and peaking at the right time. Smothering defense.

I hear ya Switz. I'm surround by an entire family of rabid Steeler fans and I cant even enjoy the playoffs until they are eliminated. Unfortunately it looks like they will at least make it to the AFC championship game. It just hurts all the more when we've had the season that we have had. I just hate Steeler fans. They are so obnoxious.
I'm still ticked at the refs in the Dolphins game that gave it to Pittsbugh. I'm also ticked at Flacco for fumbling away the game against them and the Bills WR Stevie Johnson for dropping an easy OT TD. They are the luckiest team in NFL history.

BTW that team lost the Superbowl. New England can't play them in the Superbowl.

Hey man just trying to help you feel better. Honestly the way NE playing down the stretch do you think the SteAler will beat them. This NE team is better (playing better) at this point of the year than they were in '07. That '07 team was struggling to beat teams at the end of that season.

Plus they got rid of that diva Randy Moss which has made them better probably because they don't feel pressured to throw to him every play and they don't have to listen to him whine about how he "doesn't feel appreciated". They can stay within their system better without him IMO. Why else have they gotten better without him.

I get the distance from WV is part of it but man alive I would rather they root for the browns or bengals as they are about the same distance...at least from my area.

Actually I don't want ANY penn. teams playing the superbowl let alone in our house.

I have only known two steelers fans that were ok. One is at my work place and the other one recently passed away.

So now it is down to one and we tease each other. Calling our QBs different names but all in all we are cool about it.

But most steeler fans I have come across are just like you described them and a vast majority could not tell you half of the players on the team.

I still remember visiting my grandparents in PA and being in the union town mall wearing my Cowboys Superbowl hat after we beat the steelers...man I got some dirty looks lol.

I tell WVU/Steeler fans this all of the time, .. especially my own family. It is the same city/town, same stadium, same fans as Pitt, and yet they put all of that aside, .. and like the steelers.

I don't get it, I can't understand it.

My grandpa would be rolling over in his grave if he knew all of his family liked Pittsburgh.

He taught me at a very young age that we hate all there is about Pittsburgh. (Panthers, Steelers)

He would be proud of me.

He also introduced me to Chuck Howley so he is partly responsible for me being a Cowboys fan.

Try living amongst HOMER Ravens fans. Trust me they are Commanders fans in DENIAL in this city. It may make some of you sick to pull for the Steelers. But it's better them winning the superbowl than the Eagles in my opinion. At least if they do win it, it will help torture Eagirls fans even more.
