Why not? He's 6'1" 226? That's a little taller than the normal FB, but just about the only position he could really play at that size.

Sure he has to learn the fundamentals of blocking, but he's not too tall where he can't do the job there. He could be our Le'Ron McClain.

In this O, all we really ask the FB to do is seal defenders to create holes. We don't call for our FBs to be bone-crunching lead blockers.

Le'Ron McClain is like the exact opposite of Dickerson...

I think Dickerson is better off just moving to WR.

yup. McClain weighs 260 and is a beast.

why do you say that:confused:

A FB who could potentially run a sub 4.4, line up in the slot, out wide, goaline back, would be a nightmare to matchup against, especially from the slot. I love the guy. Perhaps he could return kicks. LOL, wouldn't that be something
Dorin Dickerson was a RB in High School. He had 30 rushing TDs and 6 receiving TDs his Senior year.

As a Freshaman at Pitt he played WR and Special Teams. His sophomore year he was a an outside LB.

As a Junior they moved him to TE and that is where he played the last 2 years, more as an H-back than a true TE. CBSSports.com lists him as a FB. That is where many teams see him along with H-Back. The last thing it mentions is that he says he is a good blocker. NFLDRaftscout.com also sees him as a FB.

Combine that with 4.4 speed and 24 reps of 225 and yes I do think he is the most talented potential FB in the NFL. As you say, he can play out wide, in the slot, and clearly in the backfield. Between HS and college he has played QB, WR, RB, FB, TE, H-back, OLB, and CB as well as Special Teams.

If he actually does what I think he will, and becomes a Dallas Cowboy, I am going to pee myself.

But, as I said, I knew this pick would be unpopular. FBs in the 3rd usually are. Except Moose who was in the 2nd, but let's not go there.

yeah, I completely agree with you. I would be extremely pleased. I was actually quoting thecount though. But yeah he'd be more of a luxury pick then a need pick, but I wouldn't be upset one bit if we got this guy. I even think he might not be there in the 3rd.

My bad, I was actually backing you up on your comments, not trying to contradict you. I originally had something at the top that would have made that clearer. I forget why I edited it out.

I wasn't questioning his athleticism. I wasn't even questioning his skills as a player.

I know that. You said that my comment about him being the most talented FB in the NFL was a pretty big claim. I am just backing up my claim.

No big deal.
