Really? The play calling was fine today. Watch it when it comes out on all-22 on Tuesday.

Romo made the wrong reads on a lot of downs. Harris open in the endzone. Williams open on the post on the first Dez int.

Beasly converting underneath with a Dez clear out.

Did you not see Dez and Dunbar stacked? Or the sweep to Harris?

Best play calling in a while. Had Romo not changed the play in the 2nd series and murray not fumbled in the first. We probably would've been right in the game going into the half.

Thought Escobar was going to be lining up wide for mismatch opportunities in the middle of the field...

I didn't see whole lot of receivers in motion...

Where were the screen plays...

How about a reverse or two...

How about a flea flicker...

How about some more crossing routes...

How about some quick pitch outs...

Or some hurry up offense to start the game...

The offense wasn't vanilla. Romo gave the game away today. We went with our bread and butter running game and it work. We ask Romo to make some plays and he couldn't.

were u watching the game. The offense was far from vanilla. Lets stop blaming others. Romo lost us the game with the boneheaded 3 ints. And murray fumble that got returned for a touchdown. Other than the passing in the redzone can't blame the playcaller when romo has the ability to change the play. We should take that away from him. Should be 2 audibles run right or run left lol.

This is, of course, right. But for future reference, when we lose, it's always the play calling. When we win, the play calling didn't cost us, but we've still got a ways to go.

Timid means not being afraid to hand your running back the ball inside the 10 and letting him punch it in...

Timid means not being afraid to open up the playbook and adding some misdirection or changing up the tempo...

I'll throw in lack of urgency also along with timid... When down this team needed to pick up the pace it didn't seem to move fast enough.. too little too late with the late rallies...

Look at the Seattle offense and their play calling on offense, and then look at our tonight. Even if Romo made the right reads and good throws, I agree with the title, VERY VANILLA!!!

The only complaint about the play calling should be in the red zone. Murray should have touched the ball in both situations. Other than that I liked it. Unfortunately you can't show your entire offense when down by so much so early though. But bottom line, the QB's decision making lost us the game.

They could have had Vince Lombardi, Don Coryell, Knute Rockne, and Bill Walsh calling plays by committee and if your QB plays like that you'd swear a 12 year old was drawing them up in the sand.
