1. CAR - Cam Newton
2. DEN - Marcel Dareus
3. BUF - Blaine Gabbert
4. CIN - AJ Green
5. ARI - Pat Peterson
6. CLE - Von Miller
7. SF - Robert Quinn
8. TEN - [Trade to MIN] Tyron Smith
9. DAL - [Trade to STL] Julio Jones
10. WAS - Cameron Jordan
11. HOU - Prince Amukamara
12. MIN - [Trade to TEN] Da'Quan Bowers
13. DET - Nick Fairley
14. STL - [Trade to DAL] ???

I'm trying to avoid actual work. This scenario has been bouncing around my head. So, what would you guys do?

JJ Watt? Carimi? Sherrod? Aldon Smith? Another trade down?

Ew. Trade down again if possible. If no trade downs are available, either Sherrod or Castonzo?

I think they might just go ahead and take Fairley at 9 if hes there

I thought that until they decided not to visit with him. Could be a smokescreen or it could be smoke that says they don't want him.

I dont see any way they dont meet w/ a huge boom or bust guy like Fairley whos major question mark is his attitude and work ethic.

If they met w/ Cam who they arent taking they will meet w/ Fairley.

You're right. They still might visit with him. I don't know why they wouldn't have a visit lined up by now though. Probably just not in a rush. Or he doesn't fit what they want. Or they don't trust him. I'm not in that room. Time will tell.

I'm fine with Watt at that point, Sherrod, Castonzo and Carimi are also options. Maybe even Mike Pouncey or Ingram.

This doesn't strike me as a nightmare, still plenty of options and we got extra picks.

I was thinking we may be able to get #47 from STL if this goes down. We'd have to give up our 3rd, maybe get their 4th? I'd like to have 3 picks in the top 50. So there's an upside. I can see this happening easily. I may just be suffering from month-before pessimism.

I don 't see this as a nightmare scenario at all.

JJ Watt
Nate Solder
Anthony Castanzo
Gabe Carimi
Mark Ingram

Trade Down.

It's not the idea scenario but it's not like we dont have options. With that said it's another reason I dont support trading down between 10-20. I woulds rather go all the way down to 21 , pick up the extra picks and get the same value in a player.

The more I think about it, the more I'm beginning to like this guy for us. I think we really screwed up the Felix Jones pick. When we orignially drafted him, I thought he'd be a situational runner. I thought he showed a ton of promise two years ago....but he's never really taken the bull by the horns. You'd think he'd be able to win the starting spot from Barber by now.

I think we're really missing a move the chains, carry the load RB.

I would not cry if we drafted Mark Ingram.

Teams that drafted two RB's in the 1st round close together

Carolina - Picking 1st
Buffalo - Picking 3rd
Colts - Good team but obviously regret both picks

Passing on Fairley would be sheer stupidity.

Same with Da'Quan Bowers.

Watt or Sherrod would be fine, or trade down a couple of spots more and 1 of those two would still be available.

I tend to agree. I was just basing the passing on the apparent lack of interest in either by the team. If a guy's good enough, he should play. The team's actions thus far don't jibe with this. There's still time, they may begin showing interest. For now, I have them passing on them both.

You will not have to worry about passing on Nick Fairley. Tennessee will take him. He's a better fit as a 3 technique, anyway.

The Vikings don't have a third round pick but have a second round pick. I don't think the Vikings are going to give up a second round pick unless they come up for a QB. But, who knows. Drafts can be unpredictable.
