PLAX, CHAD CANDIDATES FOR SUSPENSIONS?

Posted by Mike Florio on June 13, 2008, 12:50 p.m.

As promised in one of the various half-assed blurbs I posted here last night, a new SportingNews.com column is live and ready for your perusal and commentary regarding the non-holdout holdout phenomenon.

The gist of it? Plaxico Burress and/or Chad Johnson could be suspended for refusing to participate in practice.

Whether their teams will come after them in this way is a different issue. Unless some team does, however, more players will do it.

And for those of you looking for more stuff to read while stealing time from your employers efficiently multi-tasking at your desks, here’s an item from the other day regarding the teams that could land in the new stadium that could be built in Los Angeles.

Intresting, they could sort of do, what the Eagles did to T.O, and what the bucs did to Key. You want to complain and whine, fine, we'll just get rid of your butt.

Thats why Chad said that he is injured and pointed out that the bengals recommended surgery for his bone spurs. He was covering his bases to prevent the bengals from being able to suspend him.

Great, hope the teams do it.

Now if only we could threaten to suspend our primary yearly whiner - Greg Ellis. Maybe he would shut up in the offseason.

Actually TO's whining & stuff got him out of Philly which I believed he really wanted. Just like it obvious Chad desperately wants out of Cincy. As for Burress, he just wants more money to stay. Can't see Giants suspending him cause they need him to work with Eli.

HA. Neither one of them is going to be suspended for this. Johnson has even less shot at a suspension since he said he's hurt, and they wouldn't be able to prove that he wasn't, and more importantly have documented proof that the Bengals thought he might need surgery for the injury.

Plax will either cave, and practice, or the team will sign him to a new deal. That's how that one will end.

The Bengals, in the end, are going to stop trying to play the tough guys here (and note that I'm not saying they're right or wrong in that aspect) and will eventually wind up moving Chad in order to put an end to this bs.

yess suspend plax. nothing would make me happier than to see the cowboys dismantle the giants and them not being able to put up much of a fight
