According to the New York Post's Page Six, Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress had a difficult time breaking through the coverage last night.

IT'S hard out there for a professional athlete who gets no attention from the usually man-hungry ladies at Clifton, N.J., nightspot The Bliss Club. Sources say New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress insulted female patrons there and "left the club without paying his $2,000 tab." It seemed that Burress was upset Wednesday night because "no women were paying any attention to him."

If Plaxico Burress can't get laid in New Jersey, then I just don't know what to make of this world anymore. And he's totally justified in walking out on that $2,000 tab. That's the "No Poon For Plaxico Tax" that every club in the NY/NJ area is subject to when Plaxico Burress can't pull any trim.
When a guy spends that much time around Eli Manning, maybe Eli starts to rub off.

Several years ago there was a robbery or some other problem at his house in Pittsburgh. The cops said there were some interesting items spotted in his residence, including a gold crucifix which one officer described as "life sized."

I think Plax was also driving around in some vehicle designed for construction duty. Think of a Humvee with about twice the engine and 1/10th the comfort.

He's a strange dude.

I can tell you that the boys in law enforcement down in the Virginia Beach area (where he comes from) speak REAL highly of him...

The funny thing is, with all his money and fame, you KNOW the only reason he didn't draw attention from the ladies is he was acting like a jerk from the time he walked in there... at least, I never got as much attention from the ladies as I did when I was making good money working as a golf pro... they saw my restored 67 Camaro and my brand new Jeep Cherokee, and the sharp clothes (a golf pro more or less has to dress well, and I always did like to be one of ZZ Top's "sharp dressed men"), and a lot of them were willing to ignore that I was uglier than a mud fence...

I once cracked my brother up by telling him I knew the single most guaranteed way to pick up women in a bar, an absolute foolproof approach... he challenged me to prove it, so I showed him the secret-- I pulled a 50 dollar bill out of my wallet (how I long for the days when I had fifties in my wallet, LOL), licked the back of it, and stuck it to my forehead... he 'bout to ran the car off the road laughing, but had to admit I was probably right...

But even when I had money, I had to turn on all the charm I have at my disposal to seal the deal... if I'd come off as arrogant, like Plax likely did, they would have stayed away... happily, this descendant of Scotsmen has kissed the Blarney Stone... if I can't do anything else in this world, I can BS with the best of 'em...
