I don't feel an ounce of pity for him either.

He's from my area - Virginia Beach. I'm friends with some of his old teachers from high school. He was a knucklehead punk thug then, and he still is.

The court was not looking at the Little case just the Plax case.

ESPN Radio in Dallas is reporting Plaxico is being harassed by New York Jet and Dallas Cowboy fans in prison.

Guards said he tries to be alone but the prisoners chant GIANTS SUCK, GIANTS SUCK.

Poor Plaxico.....NOT

What a difference from when he said they were going to party after they beat the Cowboys in the playoffs before the game was even played.....
that is so awesome

I do feel kinda sorry for him. Hope he puts this time to some sort of constructive use. Two years is a long time, but he was only a bad bounce from tapping someone else's leg--or worse.

'Contrary to popular opinion, it's allright for stoopid to hurt.....'

I don't think what he did deserves jail time. Maybe a fine and some proper gun handling and shooting lessons.

He is a grown man, I don't feel sorry for him, but, he should be doing jail time.

The laws of the state of New York disagree with you, so what you think is irrelevant...

As for what I think, IMO anybody who carries a gun when he goes to a night club is looking for trouble... he got what he deserves...

Exactly right, pal-- Plax has been playing the punk since he was in high school, he's quite notorious in his home town among the local law enforcement officers...

Well, if he wants to play the knucklehead punk thug, then he has to accept the consequences of his choice... the thing is, I'd be willing to wager that prison won't change him...

"I only hurt myself, and for that I'm going to jail??" No, you ignorant jagoff, you're going to jail because you broke the law...

So, because Little got away with murder, every other criminal in the country should get off easy??

Interesting logic...

Never said that.........Just saying 2 yrs is kinda harsh for the crime, granted the guy has always been a knucklehead.
Just saying there is no consistency in the sentencing

Not when you consider that the "mandatory" sentence was supposed to be 3.5 years... the state let him plea bargain down when they didn't have to...

Just saying there is no consistency in the sentencing

There wasn't, but it was also two entirely different courts, in two entirely different states... New York has a hard-on for those who carry guns illegally, and Plax thumbed his nose at them...

The guy did bring all of this on himself. I mean, I feel bad for anybody who has this kind of thing happen but that's not to say that I don't want it to happen because I do. I pay taxes for exactly this sort of thing to happen. You don't want to see it but the facts are that he broke the law and there is no defense. It's pretty cut and dried. He did it and he must pay the consequences of the actions.

Besides, with good behavior, he'll only do a year and a half probably.

Prison isn't that bad, Its sad really. I work for a Prison in Oklahoma, and i am very disapointed how easy it is. You get canteen ( Pop, candy, chips ..pretty much what ever you can get at quick trip ..ice cream..ramen noodles ..coffee blahblah ) ..you can get a TV with cable, radio. You get 3 meals a day, with a place to live, and no bills at all. Pretty much free medical, dental. Prison is more like a big baby sitter more than anything. You can't really stop contraband into a prison, so there is drugs, tobacco, cell phones in prisons ...even tho they cost alot, someone like Plax will have a holiday inn cell. I'm sure he'll have the best of the best.

In our Restricted Housing Unit, we shower them on Mon, Wed, Friday. We have never had anyone 'famous', but i don't see Plax eatting bologna ( sometimes its green!! haha ) and beans atleast 3x a week.

Sorry, I rambled ..but what i meant to say, Prison isn't that bad ..don't feel bad for him. He'll be treated better than he should. Kinda a shame he wouldn't be in the general population .. "I have a giant for you" - Bubba lol

I actually feel pretty bad for Burress. He's not a menace to society and obviously shouldn't be in Rikers with murderers and other scumbags. Damn it is gonna be a long two years for him. There is ABSOLUTELY no way they are gonna be able to keep him totally isolated from the other prisoners the whole time. Someone will find a way to get to him and his life probably could be on the line. If you don't know about Rikers, it is one of the most violent prisons in the country

Yes, he is, and he has been for a long time... since his high school days...

and obviously shouldn't be in Rikers with murderers and other scumbags.

Try reading sometime, Rikers is just a temporary stop for him... he has yet to be assigned to where he'll serve out his term... but again, he's a scumbag, so it seems highly appropriate to me that he's in with other scumbags...

Maybe seeing where his life is headed if he doesn't grow the bleep up will straighten him out... maybe this will be a wakeup call for him (but I really doubt it, he went in with the attitude that he didn't belong there, when he broke the freakin' law)...
