So Kellen is out there calling Garrett’s plays and we are down a few scores, let’s say down by 9 points with 5:35 left in the fourth.

Garrett keeps telling you to run the same predictable stuff and we’re not getting anywhere. What do you do? Stick to the script?

Or do you dust off some of that 53-3 College Winning Record and make your move? Dak Attack baby...:D

But seriously @Floatyworm you watched this kid play in Boise, what did he run? I know he’s supposed to be some timing route guru with Mad anticipation skills. Son of a coach, etc.. We know little here...

If he can get Dak scoring say 5-20 more points a game, we might win 2-3 more games a year.

He still has to abide by the Committee...

Garrett is a good offensive mind. He didn't have the sack to tell Linehan what to run. He won't have that problem with Moore. The question is, how much has Garrett learned since he called plays and can he handle the game management part.

20 more points a game?

I assume that's a typo and you meant to hit the 1 for 5-10 more points a game. But even so... 10 more points a game is a HUUUUUUGE jump. It would put us at around 32 points a game. So, over 500 points on the season. Which we've never done. Our highest point total ever in a single season is 479, in 1983. But if you really did mean 20 points more...?

They run everything by Committee. Garrett isn’t sole dictator but he has input...

As many as 20 more points a game? You’re going to be scoring 5-20 more points a game which would equate to 30-50 ppg... because of Kellen Moore?

Someone help me with the math on that... 65 td passes for Dak, give or take?

Our three lowest scores were 0, 8, and 13. Those were the only games an extra 20 points might have been better or even more realistic.

The rest 5+ would have been great.. I don’t know if Kellen is the answer, time will tell, but I’m not holding my breath.

No. I didn't miss a thing. I'm certainly not the only one here questioning your mentioning a pollyanna-ish 20 point per game improvement. And considering we barely averaged over 20 points a game this season, pollyanna-ish is about as nice as it could be described.

5 more points a game puts you in top 10
And if we fix our redzone problems that’s easily attainable
Just one more red zone trip that’s a TD over a FG gets you most of it
We could literally get in top 10 scoring without doing anything other than fix that one problem

That is true. Garrett has no pride and no confidence in himself. If he did, he would have left on his own to a job where he can coach and not pour scotch.

You have to practice those college plays all week or theyll never see a game day.
 
Dak needs to really really really work on a few things. Timer in his head. Get the Ball out on time. Or get rid of it. Foot work. Step up in and around the pocket. Ball security in the pocket. Keep it high and gripped tight. Reading defenses. Spend more time in the film room and less time in the club.
 
No, ask Jerry. You have to go into the depths of high school and get some plays.

The NFL and college game have become too passe. :facepalm:

Because Andy Reid got Pederson and Reich from the high school levels and groomed them we're supposed to do more coach in training too.

That's where John Kitna is going to assist Kellen Moore with creativity and Dak mechanic wise.

5-20 points a game?

Try 25 more points now baby!

Maybe another 9 season's from now.
