Play Calling - Pure and Simple

I have to lay some blame on Payton. The plays that were being used were hideous. I even saw Parcells wince on a few of them. Not only did he call plays that were predictible but they called plays that alot of the time were not even to our strength.

Case in point. That goaline fake to Barber where Drew kept and bootlegged out. I knew straight from the start what they were going to do. Everyone on the board said we need to fake that play more. Well we did. It got us a missed FG.

Im just not a fan of Payton. Dallas for some reason does not run a very effective playbook. The OLINE not being able to run block my 5 yr old does not help us neither.

Real hard win to choke down....even w/ my iced tea.

I took out my frustration on 13 inches of snow that has falled the past 2 days. *Note to those in snowy weather*

I wasnt' a fan of the playcalling either... I'm sick and tired of watching the OL get blown up on 3rd and 2... Run for 9... next play, Run for minus 2... We have to get some consistency on the OL... We want to run the ball and control the TOP... we're 1st in TOP, we just can't run consistently...

About this time 3 years ago was when Jim Fassel relieved Payton of his play calling duties...

and the Giants took off from that point forward.

There is NOTHING creative about Payton's play calling...zilch.

I'm not saying it's the reason we lost...but geez, I've NEVER seen such uninspired play calling in my life...

Its hard to be creative with the play calling when you run the ball 30 times for 85 yards(2.7ypc). Whats even more pathetic is of the 32 runs only 1 was for more then 10 yards. They always talk about making teams one dimensional, with Dallas you dont have to worry they do that by themselves with their inability to control the LOS on offense. Go back and watch the games again and see how times the Oline is playing 1 or 2 yards behind the LOS instead of in front of it. If they are going to compete in the playoffs they are going to have to become more productive running the football. They are ranked 28th in the league in ypc and it is starting to catch up to the offense.
