Here’s history repeating itself, back in the day when I was a kid in the 60s, 70s, and I want to say the 80s(at least the vast majority of the 80s) all the HCs called the plays. I was just counted at least 16 teams HCs calling offensive plays and I do believe there are a few that call defensive plays.
