If Sears is there at 22 we MUST take him - I say MUST because I keep reading that Jarrett is a massive reach and is predicted in the 30's -40's pick wise NOT 22. And I know this is who I hear we want. If we take a DB, he'll most likely be a ST player - IMO a guy like Sears can come in and push for a Job - somewhere.

the only olinemen I'm considering in the 1st are Levi Brown and Joe Staley, Staley most likely being available at 22

You talk about Jarret at 22 as a reach

only to say we should take Sears at 22 and that is not a reach.........

can you hear yourself?

I agree. Why would you pass up Staley when some say he's as good as the first two and take Sears with your 22?

Prepare for disappointment. That ain't gonna happen pardner. Way to early.

I do not see an all world OL in this draft like D'Brickashaw, and since OL is one of the hardest to guage talent wise wasting a 1st rounder on that position is stupid unless you have that "All World OL" but for ever D'Brickashaw there are numerous Gallerys

I wouldn't mind Staley at #22 at all. He could push for the RT job immediately and be a strong candidate for LT next season ('08) if Flozell isn't resigned.

HOWEVER, Jerry has NEVER selected an OL in the first round, and with the signing of Leonard Davis, I highly doubt this is the year he breaks that trend.

I wouldn't take Sears at 22,but I would consider him,Blaylock,or Grubbs if they traded down to the end of the 1st round,or the early 2nd.

I totally agree with you.I wouldn't consider any of the guards at 22,and staley is the only tackle I think would be there at 22,and I would definately be interested in him.

Staley at #22 would be cool with me but I'd rather trade down to the end of the round and select Blalock, then snatch Barbre at #87 and Johnnie Lee Higgins with the extra 3rd we got in the trade.
