Blame Cortez all you want, but the play that lost us the game was not going for it on 4th and inches from our own 2. We have a 6'5'', 235 pound QB and 2 guards who weigh over 700 pounds between them. Run the ****** QB sneak and get the TD to put it away.

I agree...I knew if we went for the FG we were going to lose

I think there were several points in the game which would have put it away for us.

But regardless, without JJ, this is 2004 all over again.

I agree...and I said it when it happened...so not as a second guess.

The coaching staff should have considered the team very fortunate to hold an offense as good as the Hawks to 3 points until that stage of the game. We did the same thing vs the Skins. Parcells figured we held them all game, we'd continue to.

Bad idea....go for the kill shot. We could have put them away right there.

And on a minor note, stupid to challenge that play and lose a timeout over it. It was clear that the receiver was in bounds. The time out was too important to give up.

Whatever.

I would have called a running play that last play and let the clock run out.

Think about it. The chance you are taking throwing near your opponents FG range, you haven't driven down field all game without the run and yet you want to throw to a DOUBLE covered T. Glenn? I don't get it. Why didn't hey use witten or even Price more?

Parcells was out-coached this game. The play calling on that last drive gave the game away.

Not very hard to do with the playcalling. It sucks when you have talent but the coaches won't use it.

I say the PI by Glenn at the end of the game was what got them rolling...

and it was a good call unfortuantly...

I also wasnt happy with the PI on Witten that was picked up and called incidental.

...Bledsoe was no accurate, the WRs could not get open, the O line was missing blocks....thats what really lost it.

I disagree. Seemed like the Cowboys were getting stuff on 3rd and shorts in the run game in the 4th quarter. Were getting most of the running yards on 1st downs and draw plays on 3rd and long. The Cowboys don't make that 4th down and the Seahawks win the game automatically on their TD. Not Parcells's fault that Bledsoe was an idiot today and threw that INT when the game was going into OT.

Our O didn't click because we had no running threat. Without JJ, our running game doesn't get going, and nothing sets up the passing game. The C-hoks D didn't respect our running game, and we did nothing to make them pay.

Two trips inside the 10, several stuffed running plays, and we come away with 3 points.

Not to second guess, but I'm sure JJ would have changed matters abit ... at least opened up the play action.

true, but I don't think JJ being out cost us much of anything.
It was all on the OL, Cortez, and Bledsoe.
I knew we'd go to OT when we decided to kick a fg on that 4th down.
Then, we give up 10 points in about a minute and a half and don't even make OT.
I'd rather take my chances on the sneak and if we don't make it, they have to go 98 yards.
I have mixed feelings. I'm so mad that we make games close that shouldn't be sometimes I think I don't even want to win these games (although not completely) because losing will force us to fix our obvious problems. We should've finished that game in the 3rd quarter the way our defense was playing.
To be a legit contender for a SB, and let's face it most of us don't even want to go to the playoffs unless we think there's a real chance we win the SB, you put these games away early. Rest assured, the Arizona game will be a nail-biter also. Doesn't matter how much they suck or how much we shut them down for 58 minutes...we'll play to whatever level they are playing.

All around crappy game. I would have kicked the fg. If we don't kick the fg, and they stop the play then what? Our defense collapses and they go down the field and win the game outright? They don't drive on us? We'll never know. If we get the three, and our defense holds we win. Unfortunately that didn't happen.

You're right I blame Cortez!! If he had made that and the 4th and "inches", the score would have been 13-3. Who would've cared if Seattle drove for the TD, we would have ran the clock from there.
Cortez needs to be gone!

I disagree. On third down Bleldsoe chose to run for it when the replay clearly shows Witten was wide open in the end zone.

I agree. Its amazing we were winning with the way our offense played, a defense needs some help from the offense. They were at home and we manhandled them, but you keep giving a team opportunities.....
