When you rush for 37 total yards, you're not going to win many games, period. The lack of a running game has completely killed us the last two to three years. It makes us far too easy to defend.

Disagree that the problem was the running game. Had we held onto the ball better, or taken it away, we'd have won with the 37 rushing yards.

Maybe, maybe not today. But, I can guarantee you we won't win many games if we continue to run the ball so poorly. It just isn't going to happen. You can't depend on getting turnovers to win games. Turnovers are a bonus and you never know when they'll come your way or go against you. A strong, steady running game is something all defenses hate to see. You wear down the opposing defense, pull their safeties to the LOC, and then hit them long. That's exactly how we won three Super Bowls in the 90's. We don't need Emmitt Smith II (though that would be nice), but we're going to continue to struggle offensively unless we can mount some kind of ground attack. I can guarantee you that much. Like I said before, if we don't have a running threat, it makes us far too easy to defend.

This I agree with. We have to set up our
passing attack first. We'd have more open targets with getting secondary to bite in some fakes.

Don't understand kicking the FG there? There was plenty of time to get another FG attempt to win it.
