When Anthony "I run a 5.0 40 yard dash" Henry went out with a quad injury. Ball looked like a pro-bowler compared to that has been. Hopefully he's out for several weeks.

I am Very Happy for the win ,but I was wondering (especially in the second half) why Garcia didn't take any shots deep on our rookies.

Glad he didn't ,but I was nervous that he would.

I'm guessing we had safety help behind Ball/Scandrick....and Jenkins was still playing 10 yards off, but coming up hard on the short stuff...I don't think there was time for him to wait on double moves.

Please don't ever call yourself a Cowboys fan again.

Kinda harsh hoping a player wouldn't return, but, I do think that Ball deserved some more playing time. It looked like he had a pretty good game.

I thought the emotional turning point was in the first half when the defense was just piling on barber and Columbo sprints in and pile drives one of them off of barber. From that point on we seemed to start playing with some emotion and it steamrolled from there. Up to that point we were totally flat.

Notice how great Ball played. All of our defense obviously played very well, but I was extremely impressed with Ball in preseason and he just proved he can do it in the regular season too. He was with the WR's step for step.

Props to all of our defensive players, our corners really stepped up in limiting Garcia, our line pressured so consistently, there were of course a few missed opportunities, I would have loved to see an INT, but overall, AMAZING job.

:bow::bow::bow::bow::bow:

Now if we could get our corners within the 5yd area to play some bump and run. mmmmm :D

Alan Ball: I thought he played like garbage in preseason, and didn't understand how he made the team, but he did a fine job today, I was pleasantly surprised.

he took shots on Henry early (and Galloway had him beat)...then tried one on Ball later but Ball had great coverage. The difference in speed is very obvious.

Love to hear that our young secondary stepped it up but anyone being thankful that a player is hurt, and hoping for it to be serious enough to be long term, is a moron and shouldn't be allowed to call themselves a football fan, let alone a Cowboys fan.

Ball very good today.

He made the coaches who cut evan oglesby look very smart.

Ball played well, but do you really want him covering Plaxico next week? That sounds scary to me.

In preseason I had kinda wished we had kept Evan Oglesby ...

Apparently Oglesby ain't tearing it up in Baltimore .. one tackle in three games when he's been active ....

Guess Campo made the right call ...

Is there any difference between him and Henry...Ball looked pretty quick to me today...

Many posters said the coaches blew it by keeping Ball and release Evan Oglesby. They are eating crow today. :)

Ball looks like he has really filled out. I last remember him from the previous year's preseason and he has more of an NFL body. Hopefully he is a classic case of a guy just needing some coaching and some time in the NFL weightroom to become a player. Already looks better than Jacques Reeves did in his fourth season.
