Can someone tell me how these work? I seen yesterday where most of the Seattle team is in Hawaii working out. Russell Wilson organized this. How long can they do this? Are any coaches involved? Who pays for it? Where and when is ours?

It's just a bunch of buds, getting together, playing football. No coaches, no team officials. Just players.

Players can do this, it doesnt violate any CBA or league rules. I wish more Cowboys would do this voluntarily. I know back in the day, early 90's, certain players would organize this, I believe Irvin was the leader.

Nothing restricts them from going to Valley Ranch and meeting up.
A lot of the Cowboy players make the Metroplex their home.

Cowboys do stuff like this all the time. Maybe not Hawaii though

The season of the CBA negotiation, anyway, Romo spearheaded a fairly good turnout. I think it happens every year, actually, though it doesn't get a ton of coverage. Tony sort of alluded to it in his radio interview a few weeks back, talking about the advantage Dallas has in that so many players actually live in the area year-round and that the rest of them would be trickling back in right about now.

they can't be at the facility but they workout elsewhere.
probably at southlake or highland park high schools.
could also be at SMU since a few of the guys are present around their campus now... led by romo.

Don't matter. Won't get you to the Super Bowl. Mini camps are very near.

They can work out at Valley Ranch. Coaches just can't be around to monitor. I believe the strength and conditioning folks can be around, but that's it.

I mainly recall the CBA year which was probably special for obvious reasons in regards to not being "on campus".

Yeah, Romo got to show off all his leadership skills that year. Good times! lol

The norm is such that any player within the vicinity of Valley Ranch can go up there at anytime.
