Ryan Williams - I'm not sure what will happen with Murray's contract in the future, but I'd rather we proceed with 4 running backs this year, so that if/when we don't re-sign Murray we don't have to go back to the draft to address this position. At this point I don't see a need to keep either of the fullbacks we currently have on the roster. And I think we only take 3 tight ends onto the 53 this year. I'll be the first person to eat crow on Randle who looks like a completely different player this year. I wrote him off after the lackluster year he had last year, but he is showing up as a different runner now. They can put together a nice RBC if need be.

I don't think we're going to keep 3 QBs or 6 WRs At WR that is a bit unfortunate, but the receivers can thank the defense for that. They can also thank themselves for not distinguishing themselves above the rest.

Conversely let me also ask you who will make you angry if they do make the team. My answer would probably be Clutts.

On a seperate note, I'm really encouraged by how Linehan stuck with the run the entire game.

Someone else posted that it would be hard not to carry an extra DL
I agree unless the talent just isn't there.

Would have to say Nick Hayden.
Hate to see talent at another position walk because Hayden makes this team.

I'm with you on keeping Williams, he is just more talented than Randle who imho appears to be the same JAG rb just behind a better oline

Completely agree.

Randle is a dime a dozen RB.

Ryan Williams looks like more then that. I know he has an injury history but I think we should keep him over Randle.

Yep, I see nothing from Randle that you don't see in dozens of udfa around the league, really hope Randle being drafted doesn't play a part in the decision making process like it has in the past for some players

I think maybe Boyd, Byrd, Newsome, and perhaps Briscoe would all get picked up by some team if we cut them. I think we go with 6 WRs this year. I'd hate to lose either Boyd or Newsome. I'm hoping we can somehow keep Newsome on the roster and can somehow sneak Boyd (and Byrd) onto the PS.

I will give Randle this though. He looks good on special teams.....

Randle is probably the most durable of the running backs on this roster. If they keep Murray, Dunbar and Williams, history suggests they'll all be hurt at the same time this year. I think they need to keep 4 running backs and no fullbacks.

Bishop... he's been my pet cat the whole camp and he hasn't disappointed. He was the only interior lineman holding his own last night at the POA. Even the great Minter got blown back when they ran at him. I would hate to lose Bishop to keep someone like Okoye or Brent or Hayden.

Ryan Williams is not consistent when pass blocking and doesn't play special teams. Since he is not consistent he is a liability when in the game . If the coaches see him as a liability when in the game, he is not going to play. If he is not going to play, why waste the roster spot?

This team does not have any depth on defense, the coaches have to sift through the injuries and figure out what is going to work. I don't think there is a player on this team that would be cut and I would be upset about it. This team just does not have any depth, after the top 35-40 players it's just a bunch of JAGs.

Are there NFL teams for which that isn't true? On which the 41st-best player is something remarkably more than serviceable?

Williams lack of ability in the pass blocking scheme makes him a liability. I would be so pissed off if we lost Romo for the year if Williams whiffed (again) and we released a back that could actually protect him. He doesn't play ST and has an injury history worse than Dunbar. He looks good running the ball but there's way more to the position than that.

I'm with others who say I wouldn't be upset over anyone getting cut this season. Someone might surprise me but not upset me. This team lacks too much depth to get too upset over a camp cut.
