Since my stomach is upset I'll start with the Kicker. He passed Bob Hayes for 4th place on the Cowboys all time scoring list. He is now 87 points behind Tony Dorsett for 3rd place. It is a long way to 1st and 2nd.

Dwayne Harris is 53 yards behind Mel Renfro for 7th place on the Cowboys all time Punt Return Yardage list. He has passed Cliff Harris for 11th on the all time Kick Returns Yardage list.

Tony Romo and Jason Witten connected for the 600th time in their History. The first QB and TE duo to reach that milestone. Tony also connected for a TD pass, the 36th consecutive game with at least 1 and that ties Brett Favre for 5th place all time on the NFL consecutive games list. 4th place on the all time list is a current streak held by Peyton Manning at 46 games. He also passed John Brodie for 36th place on the all time Passing Yards list. He is 315 yards behind Mark Brunnell for 35th place.

Jason Witten is 2 yards behind Donald Driver for 39th place on the all time Receptions list and 33 yards behind Santana Moss for 38th place.

For the 25th time in Cowboys History the Cowboys have a RB over 1000 yards. DeMarco Murray did it faster than any RB in our History. He is the 6th RB to do it in 8 games or less. His 1054 yards this season already ranks as the 22nd best season ever for a Cowboys RB as far as yards gained. If he were to once again hit 100 yards rushing next week, for the 8th straight game to begin a season, he would pass 5 more seasons and move that from 22 to 17. If he were to replicate today's effort he would pass 7 seasons. Murray now leads the NFL in rushing by 288 yards. As of right now Murray is still on pace to break the NFL record of 2105 yards rushing. He is currently on pace for 2108 yards.

At this point, his fumbles and the rate they happen are starting to over shadow his yardage totals.

This is really killing us and irritates me more than just about anything else. It's killing us especially because it takes points off the board. I don't understand why it is happening so frequently with him. He didn't really start fumbling this much until this season.

Where is all the teeth gnashing and wailing about Randle and his fumble. That actually led to a Skins score.

There has been plenty about that one all over this board. The thing is this is becoming routine with Murray who is our starting RB. It's scary that our starter seems to be unable to take care of the ball.

Murray is not the reason this team lost. Murray is the reason why this team WAS on a winning streak. If Cowboys stay with what brought them to the dance, this game is in hand in the 3rd, even without Romo. Over 140 yards in 19 carries would fans from other teams drooling but everyone here just hates. Completely bonkers. Was it Murray who failed to pick up a first at the end of the game or in OT?

I'm not saying he was. What i'm saying is the fumbling is huge problem for him. Your starting RB shouldn't have 5 or 6 lost fumbles or whatever it is right now. Give him the ball because he is so good and valuable but the fumbling has to stop.

It would be nice to limit the fumbles but that did not stop us from winning. Not running Murray like a thoroughbred was. Not only would the rushing game slow down the blitz but it would have ate clock if we run it into the end zone instead of trying to finesse it all game long on second/ third and short/goal. Just you wait, Sturm and company will show that going away from our bread and butter, the run, is what lead to all our problems.

Hey thanks for the info, I think everyone is sick in their stomach after the Commander game.

Murray is obviously a valuable asset but you can't minimize the impact these fumbles can have. I believe his first fumble against the 49ers had a huge impact on the tone of that game and his fumble last night did the same thing. Sorry, but he has got to deal with this because it WILL bite us at a very important time.

I was just about to post that correction :)

I didn't understand the part about "seasons" though?

"he would pass 5 more seasons and move that from 22 to 17. If he were to replicate today's effort he would pass 7 seasons."

25 seasons we have had a 1000 yard rusher. His yardage is now climbing up those seasons. I think he's going to get Emmitt's team record. That is about that climb.
