Don't look now, but Murray just put 2000 yards back on the discussion table. Right now he is on pace for 1976 yards. One more big game and it might happen. Murray now leads the NFL in rushing by 560 yards. 3 other players are over 1000 and chasing him, but they are going to finish a good ways back. Murray is 167 yards behind Emmitt Smith's Cowboys record for 1 season. He just tied Emmitt's team record with his 11th 100+ yard rushing game in one season. One more, and he breaks it.

Tony Romo has now thrown a TD pass in 39 straight road games. His own NFL record. In truth, that is really a remarkable feat. Tony is now 454 yards from Troy Aikman's team record for passing yardage in a career. He passed Steve Young for 26th place in career TD passes. He is now 1 behind Donovan McNabb for 25th place. Several Hall of Fame QBs are within his grasp right now on the career TD passes list. Once he passes McNabb the next 4 ahead are all enshrined in Canton. They are George Blanda, Jim Kelly, Len Dawson, and Y. A. Tittle. Tony also passed Kurt Warner for 33rd place on the all time passing yardage list. Next is Ken Anderson, and then Troy Aikman.

Dez Bryant passed 1000 yards on the season.

Jason Witten is now tied with Anquan Boldin for 15th place on the all time receptions list but of course Boldin hasn't played yet this week.

Murray took away 14 yards, when he should have just went down. I was thinking all that time, go down, don't fumble trying to get out of a bad loss of yards.

What if he is 14 yards short of 2000.

Not taking anything away from Murray and his great game. But that just was not good.

Is Murray getting close to the top 15 in career rushing yards for the Cowboys? I can't seem to find a good stats site.... I know google is my friend.

By chance, what does the picture look like now, for combined yardage...ground/passes, in Cowboys history?
