We all know that some players are going to be cut and will not make it through waivers.
I'm thinking that the second string kicker here is one of them.

Sam Irwin-hill

Anyone have one player they think????

There is no way Irwin-Hill is being showcased for a trade. All 32 teams know that we are married to Dan Bailey for the next 15-20 years. The only team I can think of maybe making a roster-bottom trade to avoid the waiver madness would be Tampa Bay after they cut the kicker they drafted. But no "showcase."

I think all we see kicking the ball Thursday is Sam Irwin-Hill.

I'd be trying to showcase one of those bottom receivers (because I'm keeping Noah Brown). But Andy Jones, Lenoir, or Uzoma could be of value to somebody.

I think the Cowboys are as deep at receiver as I can ever remember.

was thinking the same but despite the flashes these guys have shown during PS, I doubt we'd get much, if anything, in trade. There will be a few dozen Jones', Lenior's, etc available come roster cut downs

Well if you ask Idgit we're not keeping Brown. Kellen Moore is way too valuable.

You're likely right. But it's the one spot that I feel the team is deepest at, and I've seen teams like the Jets rushing to claim guys like Lucky Whitehead when he was cut. If they're that desperate, who knows?

I think the Cowboys would entertain offers for Alfred Morris or even a draft pick next year for a quality offensive linemen who can play guard or tackle or even a linebacker

I'm wondering if Dallas would have any interest in Cameron Erving from the Browns? He hasn't been able to find his place there (but who has?) but the guy has been shown to be extremely versatile. He's basically a Swiss Army knife for the offensive line, capable of filling in anywhere. Not likely a starter, but a heck of a backup player to have on game days.

No one will trade for him, because he's a kicker, but in theory, even if everyone knows we'd cut him, teams at the end of the waiver wire may be inclined since it's unlikely they get him.

I wouldn't mind exploring that option, the Cowboys have to be concerned about the depth behind the starting four, Cooper won the job by default but I don't know if the organization is really comfortable with him as the starter, I think they wanted Green to win the job outright but he just can't stay healthy... I had them keeping only 8 offensive linemen on my 53 man roster(Green, Looney, and Bell as the final 3) but now with the injury to Green and the continuing back issues that crop up with Smith, I'm not comfortable with Bell or even Cleary at tackle so they might have to go get someone else via a trade of a draft pick....

My thinking and names for the roster are just the same.

Should we be sitting out players we already know we want to sign to practise squad? Dont want them to draw attention to themselves by playing well.
