No, you're right. Dallas had a 3rd round grade on him, but he wasn't drafted until the 7th round by Minnesota. Considering that the Cowboys could have drafted him in the later rounds (What sensible team doesn't draft a player graded that high in, say, the 6th?) or put in a claim for him once he was released, I'm guessing this may have been another case of the coaching staff overruling the scouting department. And that seems like it was the right call.

If someone wants to put in the time, you also might consider the leaked 2010 board as well. Guess who had a 3rd round grade back then? Thaddeus Gibson.

I thought T. Gibson looked good in the short time that he was with the Cowboys in the preseason. He is fast and athletic. I guess he was smaller than they wanted to play the strong side.

He has now been with 8 NFL teams since 2010.
