So many people on here say the players are giving up. That is completely false and here's proof.

1. The offense scored 6 points in the 1st half vs 16 in the 2nd half including 13 points in the 4t quarter. Doesn't look like they gave up on this side of the ball.

2. The defense allowed 21 points in the 1st half vs only 3 in the second. And we all know we were bad defensively but if they gave up then it's likely we lose by way more than 2 points.

You do not give up and play better, that's not how this works. In fact if you look at all of our games were not doing so well in the 1st half and we become exposed vs decent teams in this area. Same thing happened vs GB, and even miami kept the 1st half way closer than they should. Whatever adjustments are being made at halftime need to come sooner if we want to win another game this year.

From seeing a team that actually gave up in GB in 2010, this team certainly hasn't given up. As heated as I am today, I can't be subjective this particular subject. Something has to give. We need one of these new millionaires on the team to step up and take charge of the team not just their respective unit. Stop all the nick names when there's no Lombardi that reads 2 in the thousands place.

That is what happened to hohum Wade. Maybe these guys play hard for the position coaches or each other, hard to seperate it all but my point is they are still playing hard.
They haven’t given up. Will be interesting to see what happens this week and seeing how they respond. This is a real big game for the early division title. They are gonna go after each other. We don’t need a internal struggle..

I don't think they give up as much as they're upset they're continually put in come from behind positions due to poor coaching. the d-line appears to want more help in the form of blitzes and other defensive schemes. and offensive players are getting sick and tired of falling 3 td's behind in the first half totally dictating how they must play in the second half.

I agree.

Is there a difference between giving up, and not showing up?

Because 3 weeks in a row, they never showed up. It's easy to fight back when all the pressure is off.
that's a mighty fine line you've drawn there. :)

I agree and hope that our leaders step up and speak with the coaches. I hope our coaches aren't too arrogant to see their mistakes and actually value insight from the players.

I thought Bell was going to run all over us?!?! We have beat ourselves the last 3 weeks with penalties, turnovers and bizarre play calling from “someone”.

I don't think anybody's giving up. I just don't think that playing with the emotion the attitude that they should have. Something's not right

You may have a point there I believe it's the coaching staff that's given up on the team along with the owner or a better explanation is it none of the above know what the hell they're doing and have no business even being in the NFL

Fans give up and project their feelings on the players.
I don't see this offense especially the offensive line protecting for Elliott or Prescott it's like they're just going through the motions call it what you want giving up not playing hard. Do they just suck

I always talk about the culture of the locker room people tell me how it does it matter. And I just I'm dumbfounded by that response. Culture of the locker room is everything in my opinion. Totally agree

Put behind by poor coaching....lol is that what ints, fumbles, penaltie and drops look like? Because that's for sure what put them behind. In both these last two games the moved the ball only to have a mistake kill them. Maybe they should be upset with themselves

I think you see this team giving up at certain points in the last three weeks. Players are humans just like fans. Up and down the bench, heads were hanging and players weren't talking. That to me is giving up. Now quitting the game entirely is another story.

And I don't think the pressure was ever off them. That's to say the other teams starting letting their guard down. No, I think we are more talented, and that shined through. We have the ability to play an entire game like we do in the 3rd and 4th quarters, but we come out of the gate and get smacked in the mouth. We don't have anyone to motivate the players, so people start giving up. Then a spark and its off to the races. Problem is...that spark comes too late in the game.

Jerry Jones plays a big part in that so big he doesn't even realize that he is his Own Worst Enemy and the Cowboys
