IMO 2011 should be all a bout the out with the bad in with the want. Want being the guys who want to get in there and play their butts off. This oranization had babied these players long enough. Until they hold them accountable for their play on the field nothing will change. Open posistions for grabs, who cares about draft status or contract. This season will most likely be without a cap.
So with that said i think this core of players will have an impact on the season. We all know about Romo, Witten, Ware, Rat, ect. But, im talking about the role players who are just as important if not more because theyre the ones who have to step up because of opposing teams gameplanning for the known.
Josh Brent: Dallas decided not to draft a big body for the middle. Im guessing that has something to do with Brent. He came on twards the end of the yr and Im assuming theyre going to depend on him to play more and allow Rat to move all along the DL. Gjuy has promise written all over him.
Orlando Scandrick: Media and fans are raving about his added weight. Uncertainty with Newman might force him into a new role or atleast test Jenkins after is bad yr. Hell even step it up playing the nickle back. Teams killed Dallas with the slot all last yr.
Martellus Bennett/John Phillips: One of these two has to step it up some. Dallas plays alot of two TE sets. Blocking or chip and release to the middle of the field is whats needed. Play action with one of these two or both having an impact would do wonders for this offense.
Stephen Bowen: Ryan has already built this guys ego up. Dallas will most likely let spears walk. Bowen needs to come in and replace what spears brought. Stout against the run, and add something spears never did, A passrush.
Felix Jones: Its time for this guy to produce. Fans can cuddle Benjamin Button but the team needs more then just a few big runs. First it needs then big runs to end in touchdowns. He needs to allow holes to open and go north and south instead of dancing east to west.
I know i said Romo was known but he's going on this list too.
Tony Romo: Its time for this guy to play a complete season. Not break down in december as has been his forte. Command the offense and keep them focused. Its time for him to put up and show why hes worth 60+ mil.
