By all accounts Richards has been a nice late round draft pick providing much needed depth that neither Ball or Waletzco ( when healthy ) showed .

What purpose does that serve Dallas ? Will Grier is not trade bait .

What purpose does it serve Rush to play? Grier is getting cut so they are doing the professional thing by letting him get some tape for other teams, I don’t see the issue.

The issue is play your back up QB throwing to receivers who can actually make the team ( not Fehoko ) and get some reps for people who are going to contribute in 2023. If Will Grier is the past , tape against the Raiders serves no purpose in helping this team prepare .

I’ve never heard a team say their final preseason game helped them prepare for the season.

How about reps for a guy who may actually have to play in East Rutherford or beyond . Dallas is not Will Griers agent . You prepare the team your keeping not guys headed for the exits .

The goal of every offensive series should be to end it with a field goal attempt. We are about to go into week #1 with no idea if this guy can be relied on. It’s crazy.

I really like safeties Bell and Thomas. I want another opportunity to see them play.

Bell, in particular, brings a load when he tackles. When he hits guys, they go straight down, usually. He will likely be playing in real games some this year, so he might not even play tonight.

Brooks, with a good game tonight, has a real chance to make the 53, and so does Land. Both guys I will be watching closely.

I would sit anyone that possibly makes the team.

What benefit is there at this point to even put a bottom of the 53 guy out there? We have 90 guys in camp. This should be the game for the bottom 40.

I would sit them as well. The last thing you want is for any kind of injury to any of those players you are depending on right before the opener. Showtime.
