Players Protecting Wade??

Is it at all possible that the players who are sticking up for Wade may be afraid that Wade is on his way out? If Wade is fired there is a good chance that our next head coach will be a disciplinarian like Parcells was.

Jerry is a businessman and in business you don't typically hire a guy with the same characteristics as the guy you fired. The reason I bring this up is because I think our team is made up of spoiled underachievers. Win or lose these guys show up to the practice facillity on monday morning without any sense of urgency. At least Parcells would light them up after a loss, Heck he would tell the whole world his team sucked after a loss. And he sure as heck wouldn't give them a day off after a win either.

So I ask again, is it possible that these players are coming to Wades rescue because they understand that the next head coach will not put up with the BS that is happening right now? Do we have a team full of guys who are just enjoying the fact that their head coach doesn't have it in him to tell them they are losers until proven otherwise?

Aside from one hire Jerry's history tells me he'll hire someone easier on the players.

I think some of them are protecting wade. But I think what really got them upset is the idea that Steve Dennis was basically saying the cowboys players, not just the coach, were losers.

Now some might not care about that, but many would not like it and let it be known.

As far as the next coach and so on, I think the next coach is already on this team whether anyone likes it or not.

Jerry has already said JG is in the family photos or something along those lines and I also think he regrets letting a young coach go and see that coach do well in New Orleans and does not want to see JG go and have the same thing happen...but that is just my opinion.

I really don't have a problem giving Garret shot but I won't expect Sean Payton II.

Well if you want someone that throws the ball a great deal and likes to score...you could get that.

But until this year when they got a good DC, their defense was what killed them.

Problem between New Orleans vs Dallas is...Tom Benson probably has no clue about football operations and does not mess with it. Heck he is the anti-jerry and not just in that area. He is known to be a cheap skate along the lines of Bidwell. But I have a feeling that until Jerry finally starts stepping back or takes a harder line in letting coaches discipline the players, we could have any coach and it might not work.

I agree with this 100%. The players felt like they were being called out and came to their own defense. No one likes to be called a loser but these guys should have shut their mouth's and proved the media wrong with their actions on the field.

As someone else stated Wade should have owned up to it(Dec. Record) and simply said we must improve if we are going to reverse our December trend.

The fact is most of these players are just here to collect a paycheck every Tuesday. They don't want to be called out for not earning their paycheck because it makes their image look bad and hurts their feelings. How else can you expalin a team with so much talent and not so much concern over a loss. I wonder if these guys fight over who was first in line on payday.
