Dallas had a bunch of pretty good players.

Dallas has 1 elite player and even he disappears.

The 49ers have a bunch of good players.

The 49ers have a bunch of elite players.

That, and coaching, is what happened last night.

Until Dallas gets serious about winning now and starts actively improving (not just staying the same talent-wise) they won’t be the great teams or play for a bowl.

San Fran was a good team and STILL went out and got CMC.

I don’t agree that Gallup should go. He was balling out before his injury and he has just now become completely healthy. To take Cooks over Gallup is a mistake. Gallup is the only receiver we have that is a jump ball guy. Ceedee and Cooks are both more slot receivers. Our biggest mistake was taking Schoonmaker over Devon Achane. Achane would have immediately given our run game juice and would be the bridge from Pollard. Instead we have a 25 year old TE that isn’t even better than McKeon and a 5’4” running back that probably doesn’t have any business taking up a roster spot.

I know everything is doom and gloom in Cowboys land, but if you are somewhat rational, you will agree that this team does have many outstanding players/players on the verge of being outstanding. That list includes:

Tyler Smith
Zack Martin
Micah Parsons
Trevon Diggs
Ceedee Lamb
Daron Bland
Osa Odigizuwa
Stephon Gilmore
Brandin Cooks
Jake Ferguson
Kavonte Turpin
Malik Hooker
Donovan Wilson
Tony Pollard
Bryan Anger

Players that are too early to tell:

Sam Williams
Mazi Smith
Luke Schoonmaker
Jalen Tolbert
Villami Fehoko
Demarvion Overshown
Asim Richards
Deuce Vaughn
Hunter Luepke
Eric Scott Jr
Jalen Brooks
Rico Dowdle
Damone Clarke
Brandon Aubrey
Markeese Bell
Juanyeh Thomas
Trey Lance

That leads me to the original topic. These players need to be off the team at the end of the year. *disclaimer* I did not go over the cap ramifications.

This thread is just to highlight how some of these players are hurting this team with either their play or unavailibilty.

Dak Prescott
Jayron Kearse
Nashon Wright
Leighton Vander Esch
Jourdan Lewis
Tyron Smith
Michael Gallup
Neville Gallimore
Josh Ball
Matt Waletzko

Listing Tyron is the most disheartening, but its time. His body is shot. Draft a LT in the early rounds and move on.

Feel free to add on to these lists…
I don't agree entirely with your "got to go" list, however, if the proposal is to take it or leave it in its entirety, these guys are gone if it's up to me. Good post, thank you.

For complimentary pieces we need a reliable TE, a big and physical WR like an Irvin, an all-purpose feature RB, and some freakin' LBs on defense. I'm not satisfied with Defensive Line either. We need one more play maker there.

Call me crazy, but I just don't think the self-appointed "football guys" know how to build a championship team. Maybe we're in year 28 of their 30 year plan?
