Players You Forgot Were Ever Cowboys

Super Fast Randall Williams
Godfrey Myles
Kavika Pittman
Robert Jones
Dixon Edwards

This is the thread where you name a player that you forgot ever played for the Cowboys, but if for some random reason you heard the name, you would say: "Didn't he play for the Cowboys at one time?"

I'll start: Barron Wortham, LB 2000.

Any of the safeties we've trotted through here since Woody and Roy 1. I forget their names ;). Hope to remember X Woods name for awhile

Drew Henson.
Ron Stone
Brock Marion(remember him more for his play in Miami)

And..... that drop was early in the game. Was it his fault Dallas lost? I don't think so.......
Well I can tell you I was a young kid when I watched that game and it's the only play I remember. What's objectively true and the human experience often don't align.

Oh, and don't forget Ogabogadoo!!!!!

What was his name, Obaghu, or something like that? Quality rotational player.

Not to mention the media shoving incorrect fact into their reporting of the drop.

He dropped it because rather than using his hands to catch it he tried to body catch it and it bounced off his shoulder pads.

If Romo had thrown that pass it would've been his fault...

This is not entirely accurate. He tried to body catch because two things happened on that play. One, Roger took something off of it. Roger has said this himself. Smith was expecting that ball to be coming in hotter so his timing was a little off to start with. Secondly, the turf on that field was terrible. That game, if I recall, was played in the Orange Bowl and the turf was loose and the Sun had set. The Dew point settled and so, the turf was slippery. When Jackie Smith saw the ball, it was not coming in hot, he tried to slow, his cleats gave and he was actually falling down when the ball arrived. He could not position his hands to snatch it and the result was a body catch. He didn't intend to catch it that way, the circumstances just came together that way and the result was as we've all seen.

Jackie Smith gets a lot of hate over that play and I understand. I do feel bad for him though. I watch Smith play. He was really a Great TE. He could do it all and he had great hands. He didn't even want to play that season. He had retired and Tom talked him into coming back and playing a year.

Never would a thunk that, I knew we drafted Carl Lewis though, but he never got past the practices I am led to believe, 2nd fastest Cowboy ever.

I am not sure who would have been faster then Lewis. I mean, I guess it might depend on what distance but I would still wonder who might have been faster then Lewis. It was not Bob Hayes. Bob ran a 10.06 in Tokyo, Lewis ran 9.86 100 meters.
