Players You Forgot Were Ever Cowboys

Smagala was fast for a white guy. I believe he was 4.2 or 4.3 forty.Just too small for safety
Jimmy really wanted him but Jimmy didn't take long to move on from players that didn't meet expectations. I think he was cut, re-signed and cut in his 2nd season

The Cowboys traded these picks to get him.
Sixth round (#158-James Williams), eighth round (#197-Arthur Jimerson), ninth round (#230-Leon Perry), tenth round (#259-Jim Szymanski) and an eleventh round (#304-Myron Jones) draft choice.

This is the thread where you name a player that you forgot ever played for the Cowboys, but if for some random reason you heard the name, you would say: "Didn't he play for the Cowboys at one time?"

I'll start: Barron Wortham, LB 2000.

I have to say Mike Sherrard. I had high hopes for that guy. Just kept getting injured. His rookie years was not bad though.

Pepe Zellner, Chutch, D. Henson, Mike Lucky, Cornell Burbich, & Mitch Hoops

Oh and Rod Hill, who is about as forgettable a first round selection as there could be. Someone may want to check me on this, but I believe he was the individual responsible for setting up Dorsett’s historic 99+ yard gallop when he fumbled the Vikings kickoff out inside our own one.

I believe this is true, but if proven wrong, I’ll happily circle back and make apologies to #25.
It was Timmy Newsome who muffed the kickoff at the two, it rolled out of bounds at the one. This is per the official gamebook, available at DallasCowboys.com

OT Solomon Page, DE Dimitrius Underwood, LB Randall Godfrey, DB Omar Stoutmire, OG Everitt McIver, S Izell Reese, OG Oliver Ross, DT Michael Myers, DB Kevin Mathis, FB Nicky Sualua, SS Tony Dixon, DT Willie Blades, OLB Markus Steele, OG Stephen Peterman, DL Marcellus Wiley, SLOT Quincy Morgan, OLB Kevin Burnett.
