I hope playing Free this weekend isn't reminiscent of playing Columbo over Free against the Vikings... If he is healthy, let him play, but if he is borderline... Just play Parnell.

I agree. There's some difference between the two, regarding strengths and weaknesses; Free gets the nod on experience and chemistry.

But if he's less than 90%, he's likely just going to take a step backwards in his recovery and should take another week off.

He certainly did. Although Free is coming off an ankle sprain. Colombo I believe came back from a broken fibula.

Also worth noting, we lost Flo that game. Don't remember how early, but putting Free in at RT wasn't an option, because he was playing LT

Doug Free has bone spurs in his left ankle and a stress fracture in his left foot.

Bryan Broaddus said today the team is concerned about this injury.

If Free can't do anything in practice, dobbt he plays. Maybe Parrnell starts, and Free is the backup tackle. If his injury is still lingering at all.
