If he had not given me so many hours of enjoyment .... I never would have looked past the charade and seen the good person underneath.

That speech really showed people who were not aware of Irvin's ability to motivate and inspire people what he is all about.
I can still see Irvin on the sidelines in Candelstick Park in thier first NFC championship game telling Alvin Harper "You gotta run every route as hard and best as you can! This is what everyone plays for!".
What happens......Harper makes the play that seals the game.
Irvin helped us in more ways than anyone can imagine.
What I loved about that speech is that everyone got to see that side of Irvin that makes him so special.
