Actually we play the lowest seed that comes out of the first round. That can be either wild card team, or the lower division winner.

I disagree. It is my understanding that the highest seed always plays the lowest seed, at the semi-final and final level. So that picture cannot be drawn past the first round of POs. #3-seed plays #6-seed, and #4-seed plays #5-seed, which is what they have shown.

If the 'Skins win in Seattle, we'll get the 'Skins in the semi-finals, which would be #1-seed v.s. #6-seed. If the Seahawks win, we'll get the winner of TB v.s. Giants, since both those teams are a lower seed than than the Seahawks.

At least this is the way it has been in the past...

Take a look at it again.....the highest seed that will be playing the first week plays the #3 seed...so #3 plays #6 and #4 plays #5....so it is actually set up correctly.

The NFL playoffs are not based on a pure bracket system. In the divisional playoffs, the No. 1 seed is assured of playing the lowest-seeded Wild Card survivor. There are no restrictions on intra-division games and the higher seed of any matchup will have home-field advantage.

Yup. I like us against basically every other NFC team all the way to the Super Bowl. They all have glaring weaknesses. I know some say they'd rather have the hardest route possible, but me? I'll take the easiest one. Lets have all the underdogs win in the first round.

Skins vs Cowboys in the playoffs? Oh yes.

So what idiot decided to set it up as a bracket?

It's just plain stupid to do something like that. None of the four teams with byes play the winner of any particular game, so to set up a bracket that indicates they do is entirely misleading.

Unfortunately it can't happen now unless Seattle beats the Commanders/Vikings then upsets the Packers at Lambeau. I guess it could happen.

Our most likely divisional round opponent is the Giants IMHO. That should be a fun game.

I don't want to play the Giants again. It's hard to beat the same team 2 times in a season, much less 3.
